I just want to say that my thoughts are with the people of New Zealand, following the recent earthquake. My aunt lives over there and she is thankfully ok. I hope no-one here has been affected.

 Yes, my thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this awful earthquake

Mine also, I was saddened to see the news this morning. Such horrible and bad luck in that part of the world recently. I just hope people send aid and help if possible, as with other countries in the past.

My thoughts and best wishes are with everyone over there. Someone I used to go to school with lives there now, and is working with the Earth Quake Commission - following the one they had a few months ago. She says its horrific. She was on the phone to one (screaming) woman and could hear the building collapsing around her. Can't imagine it :sad2:

My thoughts and prayers also to everyone caught up in this tragedy:hug:

Oh, that's awful. How traumatising. :sad1:

I heard from our local news this morning that a group of our firemen are on-route to NZ this morning to help out with the rescue mission. This made me feel much better, even if in a small way, we're going out there to try and help out.

My thoughts are with everyone in New Zealand, my cousin is travelling out there at the moment but we have heard from her & she wasn't near the city which is a relief.

I was born in Christchurch, married in Christchurch - have seen the place on TV completely demolished.

I have been so very sad, feeling further from "home" than I ever have.

I have been in touch with all but 2 friends. (only had contact via facebook and they haven't logged on an updated, but they don't use it very much anyway so I am hoping they just haven't thought about facebook)

My best friend and her family are safe and have moved back to her parents place 5 hours away. She cannot face going back even though her house is livable. I spoke to her this morning, we cried lots.

I have had a headache since hearing the news via a text from my Mother "Christchurch flattened" not too helpful Mum!!!!

I feel so useless, wishing I was there, wishing I wasn't. Knowing I wouldn't be able to do much if I was there.

I am very sure that everyone appreciates all the good thoughts, and prayers.

 for you Kirsten. I have been thinking about you as remembered you were from New Zealand and hoping all your family were safe.

Thank you guys, have got word another friend is fine, has left Christchurch and headed back to her home town. I was very worried for her as her sister died of cancer a few years back and I couldn't imagine her poor parents if they lost Jen as well.
