Earning Starwood Points @ Non-Swan/Dolphin Hotels??

I'll be staying for 8 days at a Starwood hotel this Spring for some training sessions and my employer is paying. I booked on my Starwood account, so I'll get the points (ain't life sweet?!) It appears that I'll get a point for each dollar spent, correct? Also, can I rack up more points by eating at the hotel restaurant?

Do you have the Starwood Amex? You'll really rack up the points then!

Yes you can rack up points for eating, shopping and even parking. You may even get more than 1 pt per dollar depending on which spg level you are.
