Our flight departs MCO at 6:30am and therefore we will need to leave the resort at 3:30. What is the earliest that Mears will pick us up or should we look for other transportation? Thank you.

Sadly I’ve had to take a 3:30 AM shuttle and it was no problem - pretty sure they run 24/7. I did ask them if I could get on the 4:30 AM one and take my chances - they advised against but agreed once I signed something.

Editing to add that MCO was surprisingly crowded even at that early time of day. In retrospect, it would not have been a good idea if I didn’t have Pre-Check. Just sharing if you’re traveling during a busy time of year.

Agreeing with a previous poster that MCO security lines can be crazy busy very early in the morning for flights leaving in the 7:00 a.m. or so timeframe (and not necessarily during what are considered busier times). Once the line ran all the way down to the food court in terminal B. It kept moving, but we still waited for over an hour. We recently had a flight leaving later in mid-morning and the lines were not nearly as long (although still about a 1/2 hour wait). I think part of it may be due to staffing.

You may want to consider MCO Reserve if you don’t have TSA Precheck or Clear. It’s new and free and begins on 3/5. It is for flights leaving between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. You can reserve up to 72 hours in advance. We plan to try it on our next trip. Just a thought. :-)

Mears is 24/7

I was personally surprised by how many Ubers and Lyfts were available at 5 am for an early flight. It could be an option if you want to sleep an extra 30 minutes.

Completely agree with the first paragraph, the security lines are usually worst between 5-7am and slow down from there.
MCO Reserve has been running for a year now. Screening times start at 0500. It is something worth thinking about if you don't have Precheck or Clear Plus and can get an appointment.

How does the process work - selecting a time? Is there a window to be there by?
Scheduling it along with using Mears as transportation.

You have an appointment time so you don't have to stand in line. I know there are some reports here of people that have used it. I believe you can schedule your time three days in advance, I don't know what their grace period is for being early or late.
