Early (PPO) Park Access w/ early dining ressie at MK GONE ?

wdwnt.com Is reporting The end of the Early Welcome Show outside the park. The show is now moving
in to the castle stage with the park opening early so people can shop and stop at the bakery for breakfast. Unless they plan to have earlier reservations than 8 I'm thinking it is the end of the early access benefit of that 8 am BOG reservation!

The way I read that is Disney will now allow folks onto Main Street, but probably not beyond Casey's without a PPO reservation until park opening. They'll probably move the PPO line up to near Casey's.

If the Welcome Show is now on the Castle Forefront Stage, I was visualizing them allowing folks to meander into the HUB to grab their spot before the show with the spokes all roped off other than ADRs.

If so the issue here is many PPO's looking for that empty-in-front-of-castle photo is gone and we know the empty Main St will be gone.

Yes exactly, no more early morning pics without a lot of people in them. I have enough of these at this point but that feeling having it to yourself, even for a minute or two will be missed. If your scenario is right then an ADR at BOG ..i.e. past the hub area will still have benefit for early ride before opening. All depends on what matters to you I suppose.

The "empty Main Street photo" has been gone for years. With tours, BBB, CP, BOG, and CRT, it has been quite a while since you were able to get a photo with nobody else in it, or have the park to yourself even for a moment.

The PPO ADR never actually promised anything but... an ADR at a time, that was before official park open. All the other stuff people freak out about (early access to 7DMT curtailed by EMM, the new Welcome Show "ruining" castle pix, etc.) were never part of the sales pitch. Sure, maybe there was a wink and a nudge by CMs about them, but no promises have ever been made about anything but "being let in and allowed to eat."

I too read it that they will now be opening Main Street earlier, before the rest of the park. They will hold folks in the Hub area until the new opening show.
PPO ADRs never guaranteed an empty Main Street for pictures and as stated that has not been the case for a long time.
This is how it used to be before 9/11.
I think this is safer than the current bottleneck at the arches now.

I feel the same way, those days were long gone before this new development. To be honest, I much prefer this new opening becuase I really did not like that cluster at the gate.

Just because they are opening the gates earlier and holding people in the hub, doesn't mean they are going to start the holding at 7:45/8am when they begin letting the early PPO ADRs in.

I'm guessing this won't make any difference for most PPO guests.

Really?? I went many times, many years before 9/11 and never experienced them hold people inside the park bfire opening.
