Early November Travelers! For those arriving Nov 1 ~ Nov. 17

It was also posted in the BoG thread. Also in that thread, a CM posted that CM previews would be taking place on Nov. 28. From everything I have recently read, the whole area will open sometime in December.

That royally stinks. Of course it would sting more if it was happening like the day after our trip ended, etc :rotfl2:

On an unrelated note, 96 days left :cool1:

But even that has a down side since I can not even put in for vacation yet with one of my 2 jobs. My office job they have known since January since we might be in the middle of a boss switch during that time and I did not want anything to get messed up, but my morning job, ugh. They have a policy that you can only do time off requests 90 days out, and even then it is not like ADRs (+10 days rule) so I have to wait until Aug 15th to put in for vacation.

In a bit of a dilemma now, we read from the poly resort thread that renovations are planned and underway for fall. Not sure to what extent it would affect us and we're not even sure when fall is! (From a tropical country so not sure when fall really ends!)

Has anyone come back recently frm Disney and can advise? Our next choice is the Boardwalk Inn or the Beach Club. Its our first trip to wdw so we're not sure if we would like Epcot or MK better. Its just the reviews abt long bus waits for the Epcot resorts which is putting us a bit off. And of course the fact that our adrs are all made with poly as our home base.

Shld we stick with the Poly or make the switch? What would you do?
I would call and ask about it, plus you can ask that you are in a location away from construction. Beach club is a nice alternative though- easy walk to Epcot and that amazing pool!

99 DAYS!!!!!!:dance3::dance3::dance3::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:
woo hoo!!!! we are at 97 now- so nice to hit double digits finally- right? :)

Has anyone heard about this in the Full November thread
YES.........the annual passholder event stuff is out there.....it says they will be posting the dates for the event/soft opening for them on the AP site. Usually for these AP events you must pre-register on the AP site first. So not sure how they will handle this. The FLE thread talks about it. It also has a CM that said the job postings for transferring to the new FLE just closed apparently this past weekend, so they are getting all the CMs staffed apparently soon and ready. On that thread, they also said there are cast previews for late November.....if that is true, that sucks. That means that it would not be open until after cast previews probably. ugh! I am still hopeful that soft openings will occur the week before Thanksgiving at the very least. They definitely don't want to be doing cast previews or AP events during Thanksgiving weekend when it is packed, they want to do it at a slow time so they have time to tweak, since that is what soft opening is all about. I am keeping my hopes up since that is when we are there (nov 8-17). ;):rotfl: Now soft opening is tricky too- you could get into the area, but the ride may stop/break a lot and they might only open it for a few hours a day or shut it down on a whim and soft openings are never published anywhere, it is a just walk by and have good timing type of thing.

Okay, so finally worked on my plans- yeah! Meeting with mom tomorrow night to just sit down and review, order her wheelchair, my stroller etc. And hopefully just have some fun looking at the F&W menus, watching some videos and stuff too. ;):thumbsup2

I try not to be commando, but it is in my nature. I don't plan every ride or anything, but I do try and note the ones we need to hit in the morning since we do RD. I also put in a few shows and things in the afternoon not to miss. I plan to put these on notecards and laminate them and put a key ring through so we each have a quick reference. I will include our ADR #s and stuff too on them. So here is our plan as it stands now.

We are staying at POP in 2 rooms for our first night, Thursday, 11/8. My first time in a value! My husband is flying in on Friday, 11/9 to meet us. He will use ME. We will rent a car. It is me, my 5yo son (his bday is week before on 10/30), and my parents. Mom will use an off site rented wheelchair (legally blind) and Dad may rent a scooter depending on how he feels (nerve/foot pain/diabetes). So my inner commando will be force to slow down a bit. :):goodvibes

Where is the information? I am planning to buy AP but my trip doesn't begin until 11/6. Will I be able to participate?

http://www.**************.net/2012/...our-guest-restaurant-opening-dates-to-follow/

Walt Disney World annual passholders will be among the first to see the latest attractions as part of a special preview event for New Fantasyland. Though Disney previously indicated the Be Our Guest restaurant and The Little Mermaid ride would open in time for “holidays 2012,” the passholder web site now reveals a limited-attendance preview will take place in November.
Though specifics of this special preview have not yet been revealed, it does establish a firmer timeline as to when sections of New Fantasyland will be opening. Disney Cast Member previews are also scheduled for late November.
From the Walt Disney World passholder web site:
Be among the first to experience the enchantment of New Fantasyland during a special Passholder Preview in November 2012! Upon completion, Fantasyland will nearly double in size – for the largest expansion in the history of Magic Kingdom Park.
Registration details are coming soon and will be communicated via email and here on the Passholder website. Event capacity is limited, so be sure to watch for these updates! Valid Magic Kingdom Theme Park admission is required to attend this event.
Only passholders can log in to access that section of the Walt Disney World web site.

It’s likely (though not announced or guaranteed) that public soft openings for New Fantasyland will also take place in November, with a full opening arriving just in time for the Christmas season.

An opening date for the Be Our Guest restaurant will surely be announced soon, as Disney has recently noted that reservations will be available to be made some time this month.

The rest of the New Fantasyland expansion, including Princess Fairytale Hall and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train roller coaster, won’t open until 2013 and 2014, respectively.

Thanks - great info. Since I am a 'long time visitor - 1st time AP buyer' could someone please direct me to website/phone line where I can "buy" AP since I don't plan to arrive until November 6, but would like to begin receiving info. Thanks!

I just posted this as a main thread but Southwest is offering today only 50% fares for select dates. One of the dates is November 6th (the only Nov date if I'm correct). I found non stop one way on that day from me was only $63-but we are coming in on the 9th :( So maybe somebody can take advantage of this deal!

I guess Southwest had some major troubels with that sale. it was crashing the system and some people were charged several times for the same flight. Like some were 20 - 30 times. They have an apology on facebook and are working on refunds and also paying overdraft fees.
You would think they would've expected something like that with a sale like that going on. Oh well. If you bought on Friday, double check that you were only charged once.

I heard that, and when I saw your post about it decided I better check. When I saw "Southwest" repeatedly, my heart skipped a beat. But all was fine for me at least. There was one charge for our 3 outgoing tickets, then they billed each $10 early checkin fee separately, then my husband's return flight, then his $10 early checkin fee for that. So 6 separate charges for it. But I'm glad I checked.

I meant to email you that too. Glad you saw it and checked.

I really wish I had been able to book our return fares too. Going back Sunday night is just a killer. It's still sitting at $189 and hasn't budged a bit. But I'll pay it if I have to. It's a 5 PM nonstop. We've never gotten nonstop on our way home, so that will be nice.

Or maybe we can just decide not to come home?

Sooo excited that I just had to share!!! :cool1::cool1:

I just got of the phone with Disney Reservations and I added a day so we are arriving 1 day early on Saturday, November 10th. So we are at WDW from Nov 10 - 16! :cheer2::cheer2:

I also changed our park tickets from 5-day hoppers to 6-day base tickets, so we now have an extra day in the parks too!:banana:

After all of my changes I actually ended up saving $6.29! Woo Hoo! :cloud9::cloud9::yay::yay:

We've played around for 2 months now with dates and things and finally settled on a Dream cruise for Halloween then WDW at BWI from November 1st through 7th!!

So I'd like to join in on the fun!! I have a lot of questions but I am going to read through the whole thread before I ask!! LOL

Please add Bollengier Family to the thread though!! Nov. 1 - 7th at Boardwalk Inn... Talk to you soon!!! :)

Welcome!!! :welcome: What part of Texas do you call home!!! We are southeast Texas...closer to the Louisiana side.......

We will be there Nov 2-4th at AKV and Nov 4-9th at Contemporary-theme park view. Hopefully both views will be awesome.
I keep checking airfares to try to get there Nov 1st for free dining, but it's still too much when we aren't too far to drive.
Hope everyone has fun and we have great weather!!
