Early Morning Magic in August - watching for ADRs to go live!

Copied directly from my confirmation email:
"There is a 1 day cancellation policy. Full price will be charged / forfeited if Guest cancels within 1 day or no shows for the reservation."

Now I just wish they would state that on website!

Someone remind me, is this a pre-paid, non-refundable ticket?

I guess it is. Glad I don't have to decide for my trip yet!

It's prepaid but I think it's refundable. Cancel policy on it states "There is a 1 day cancellation policy. Full price will be charged / forfeited if Guest cancels within 1 day or no shows for the reservation."

1 day cancellation policy.

Where do you see that? I went through the motions to pay but didn't want to go to the final screen, is that where it says you can cancel up to a day before?

I did the same because I was so excited to just get it booked! I went to my confirmation email and it's in there down in all the terms and conditions. I had to read twice to find it, but it is there.

Yes, 1 Day Cancellation Policy

Are you guys sure about 1 day cancellation? The WDW site says "The number of Guests admitted to these events is limited. In addition, all reservations are non-refundable, non-transferrable and are only valid for admission during the special event date and hours."

I interpreted that as no cancellation at all.

That's what I read and that's what concerned me. It sounds like you get different information in the fine print of your confirmation email. It stinks that they don't match though.

I guess that was a lot of quotes, maybe I should have just posted instead of quoting all the related posts. Oh well....

When you look at your reservation on MDE there is an option to cancel. I didn't cancel ours in May, so I never had to test it, but I assumed it would have worked had I clicked on the link. It does also say 1 day cancellation once you book, I have no idea why it says non refundable :confused3. I had the exact same question when booking the star wars dessert party in May - when I asked on the star Wars thread they said one day and sure enough, after I booked, then I saw the one day cancellation period. But there was no way to know that until you booked. I didn't cancel that either, but the wording was the same. I think it's just an error in continuity that hasn't been caught officially.

So, does this mean you don't pay for the reservation in full when you book it? I assumed you had to pay in full for it, but maybe not?

Yes, you pay in full when you make it. I assume you just get a refund if you cancel. I checked MDE, and there is a cancel reservation button beside our reservation, just like regular ADRs.

Where or how do I check for Early Morning Magic?
You can also go Dining Make Reservations in MDE and narrow it to the magic kingdom, then it's under Ds for Disney Early Morning magic in the alphabetical list. You actually don't even have to narrow it to the MK, you then just have to scroll through more restaurants to get down to it.

I agree. I'm assuming it works the same way as CRT. When I cancel (because my wife finds out how much it costs), they'll refund my credit card.

Okay, thanks!

:D
You gave me a good laugh! Just like my house, but here I make the reservations and my husband 'critiques' them!

To be fair, it usually isn't about money though, it's just about him not wanting out schedule to put us at that restaurant at that time, or he doesn't want to be too scheduled overall...

I'm still trying to convince my wife it's worth the money. Of course, I'm not sure that I believe it's worth it, so that makes my argument less convincing. My latest suggestion was that we cancel H&V Fantasmic lunch (around $180 w/ tip) and do this instead ($278). I like trying new things when we visit, and as much as I enjoy Fantasmic, we've done that plenty of times.

I can't remember if I saw it on this thread or another thread...but, some people were reporting that the carousel and teacups were open for them too. Has anyone heard this? Maybe they will open up another couple rides, which would maybe make it worth it for me. I am on the fence right now, and can't decide.

They opened some other rides when 7dmt was down on a couple mornings. It won't be the norm unless they make official changes.

Oh, okay. That makes sense then. I thought it was in addition to 7DMT, PP and Pooh.

On the upside, on those mornings they also allowed the wristbands to act as a fp+ for 7dmt until noon. THAT wouldn't be bad at all!

IMHO the wristbands should let you go through the FP lanes for those 3 rides until 10:00. I had a great time and obviously thought it was worth it enough to do again, but they should not advertise this as until 10:00. It should be something like "Ride until 9:00 and then have the bonus of enjoying breakfast until 10:00", or something like that. I do realize it does say, right there on the info, that exclusivity ends at 9:00 but then I feel the event pretty much ends then. At that point all you can do that anyone can't do is eat breakfast. We chose to ride the Mine train x 7, the did PP twice. After that the park was opening but we went right to Pooh and rode with no wait because the park had literally just opened. The horde for the mine train was just working its way through the line. My kids probably would have just preferred to stay on the mine train the entire hour, but we wanted to do the others as well. My youngest is just 38", so he was excited to be able to do a new ride (plus kali river rapids) this year. I don't think we would have done it if he hadn't been 38" yet. We also stopped for a PP photo on the way in (I insisted) and parked our stroller and got out the rain cover, so we could have ridden an extra time or 2 without all of that. They didn't let us in until a little after 7:50 either, and the crowd (at least a few people) were starting to get pretty irritated. Had it been much later I would have been also.

That would actually have been a nice solution, almost preferable to the way it is. My concern would be that some CMs wouldn't know and wouldn't let you get in the FP line. They rotate so often through the positions, and if someone forgot to mention what was going on, I can see being denied the use of the FP line. It would be hard to argue, with no proof, and most people watching would assume you were trying to get something you didn't qualify for or something like that. Disney is not good with consistency.

I just booked this tonight for myself on 9/6! This was not something I was even planning on doing lol. There are a few times during our trip where I want to do some things solo, MNSSHP is one of them, so I figured this would be another great chance! 9/6 is our AK day, but we don't plan on going until the afternoon sometime, so I'm excited to wake up early and head to MK for breakfast and get on PP and 7DMT as many times as I can! Very excited!

Just got ours for 8/23 -- thanks for updating (and compulsively checking), because I checked earlier this morning then forgot about it! I will only add that it didn't show up in the app, only on the website.

We will be in MK on the 23rd as well, that is the last day of our trip. I actually had a hard time deciding whether to do this on the 16th or the 23rd.

Us too! Looks like there will be a few of us on the 23rd! I am so excited to experience this! :-)
