We are rope drop park visitors and would prefer to get a hot breakfast before starting at the parks, but in my searching I am struggling to find anywhere that will be open early enough for us. We plan to do the morning Extra Magic Hour and we are staying at Port Orleans Riverside. The breakfast at POR opens at 6am only for coffee and pastries or grab and go items, then opens at 7am for hot items. If we need to be at the parks by about 7:40 for an 8am open we just won't have time to wait for the hot items to be available (or will we?!).
Are there other options I am not aware of that would help meet this need? We are typically Disneyland visitors, so the La Brea bakery always has us covered for a breakfast sandwich we can munch on while waiting for the gate to open. This is our second visit to WDW and I don't recall this being an issue 5 years ago but I haven't a clue what we did during that visit!
Some more specific details to assist with feedback:
-The two park days that we have the EMH are for Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom which should both open for EMH at 8.
-When I say hot breakfast, I really mean some kind of breakfast sandwich or breakfast burrito with higher protein and lower sugar.
-On our Magic Kingdom day it is not an EMH day, but do they open Main Street early to get breakfast there before rope drop the way Disneyland does? If so, does anyone know what specific places are open for food typically during that time?
If the answer to this is that we are SOL in our quest for early bird dining, then as an alternative I am curious what in-park quick service breakfast options exist in HS, AK and MK that might be good to visit around 10-11am after our mad rush for rides.
Thanks in advance for the guidance everyone!
