Early morning coffee at GCH!

MM is at 7am this Sunday, and I'm hoping to find somewhere in or near GCH to get coffee at 6am! We're not picky - we love good coffee, but we can even get by with the refill mug nescafe stuff at WDW. Any ideas?

Not sure about GCH, but the DLH has complimentary coffee out for their guests in the morning.

I'm pretty sure La Brea Bakery Express brews Starbucks... and is usually open I think...

I am here at GCH now and trust me nothing opens until 0700. Saw a bunch a wicked people this am want their beans and nothing to be had until they got inside the park.

Does GCH have in-room coffee makers? That's what I use when traveling to group me through mornings until I can get to a coffee shop (I'm that much of an addict).

Yes they do, the standard type with the glass pot.

We checked on this before our last trip, because I am the same way GCH has coffee makers in your room, I'm not impressed with the coffee they supply though. You can bring your own, or do what we did - bought Starbucks VIA (it's instant coffee but totally drinkable IMO. You can buy it at Starbucks, we bought a multi-pack from Costco. Picked up some to-go cups (from Target, I think, but you can buy those all sorts of places) and we were all set

We bring our own coffee and use the in-room coffee makers. Don't forget to bring filters too if you go that route! They take the basket shaped ones rather than the cone kind

Thanks to everyone for the responses! Too bad nothing is open, but it's good to know what to expect - we'll use the in-room and grab more in the park after the first hour or so.

You can head to White Water Snacks. Also, the lounge offers specialty coffee in the morning.

Are they open at 6am? It sounds from other responses like it might not open that early.

White Water snacks and La Brea Bakery are not. Double check w/ the desk to see if they open at 6am -- I think I was down there once at 6:15 and they were open, but those early mornings are hazy!

When we were there, there was only one server that early, and the line could get backed up, with people ordering all their complicated drinks. DH and I just wanted our coffee! It's not the best coffee, but better than the gross stuff in the rooms.

I am shocked White Water Snacks is not open that early. We usually sleep in when at the GCH, so I wouldn't notice the lack of early opening hours.

You could always lay out around $15 (with tax, delivery, and tip added to the price) for a pot of coffee through room service. That's what I did one morning! It was worth it because it HAD TO BE worth it.

There is not enough coffee in Columbia to make me a early morning person!

I truly don't get the lack of early morning coffee and breakfast choices around DTD and the hotels. It must be too small a number of people to make it worthwhile to staff a place for coffee and "to go" breakfasts for people heading towards security and the gates pre-park opening. I know for our family, we'd love to be able to pick up a hot (but simple "to go style" breakfast) and some coffee and hot chocolates to eat and drink while waiting in line for the parks to open. We usually end up making do with choices from home and coffee in the room or from the DLH lobby (when we stay DLH). Even after you get into the park in the early morning, not much is open for quite awhile for a quick bite and drink!

Our friend is a very early riser (up at 5am) and was able to find coffee at the bar??? in GCH. I'll double check with him and report back.
