My wife got back on tuesday from WDW. Her and my sister ran in the Disney Princess half marathon and loved it (they will be back next year). Anyway - they were in EPCOT on Monday and she said the place was practically empty. They had no waits for any rides except Soarin', and that was short.

We have always gone in late October (we love the F&W Fest), but this has me thinking that maybe we should change plans and start going after Presidents week, but prior to the Spring Break crowd?

I am a baseball fan and would love to catch a few spring training games (and with the Braves right on site) this is starting to sound appealing.

Thoughs or experiences with early March?

Thanks

I was in Orlando the first week of March, not staying at DVC, but at a hotel near Universal for a weeklong meeting. I had a rental car and an AP, so I headed to WDW every day after my meetings were over. I found lines a little bit long, but not unmanageable. Waits on Toy Story Mania, waits on Soaring, but I never waited the posted time, always less. There were two Fantasmic shows the night I visited DHS and the second one never filled up. The park closed that night at 7PM, but they left ToT, RnRC and TSMM open until 8PM. There may have been a few others a well.

Early March had short park hours, even Epcot closed at 8PM on Friday, March 6, but there was EMH that night for park guests. I didn't get to AK at all since that closed at 5PM every night.

I did all my favorites, dined at my favorite counter service places (didn't do any table service at all). I had a nice time and still got back to the hotel before 10.

As long as you beat the Spring Break crowds and when Easter comes early, I think early March is a great time to go. Probably why they added the Princess Half during that time.

We do early March every other year, and we haved found the crowds low as long as you don't go to the EMH park. I think it's mid-March on that gets a bit busy with spring break folks.

I know that people have mentioned nice swimming weather this year, but my spring break is usually around March 19th and we've encountered some chilly weather in past years.
