Early Hotel Check In and EMH?

Hello,

We plan to spend a day at DLP in August. I wasn't planning to stay overnight until I saw the 8am- 10am EMH. If we got up verybearly and arrived at out DLP hotel at 7am or so, can we " check in" and get room keys like we do in the US so we could get in to the park that day at 8am?

Also, what is EMH like at DLP? How crowded?

You can 'check in' but they wont give you a room key, just tickets and paperwork. You'll have to go back later for the keycard. If you're lucky, they might have a room available for you. This has happened to me in the past. Probably not so likely in August though.

It does tend to get a bit busier in the second hour so make sure you get there early.

I tend to head straight to Dumbo as that gets the biggest queues. After that you can enjoy the rest with little queues.

Only Fantasyland and Discoveryland are open and not all rides in both are available.

Ah, okay then. I will have to look up the rides in each. Not as important we get to EMH then, as we are too adults a d a 13 yr old with limited interest in Fabtasyland other than to walk through and marvel at the differences between MGic Kingdom. Just how crowded does DLP get? Should I expect similar crowds to WDW in August or does it never get thatbcrowded?

The park is bigger than MK at WDW so it's ok even if it's very busy. Fantasyland can get very busy and crowded.

As for queues, it's can be bad. On a busy weekend in August you're looking at 30mins-1hr for most of the coasters. Crush's coaster will be around 1.5hrs. Pirates 30mins+, Autopia 1hr+.

If you use Fastpass well enough it's fine.

The following rides are usually open during EMH: Dumbo, Carousel, Tea Cups, Peter Pan, Buzz Lightyear & Space Mountain.

EMH can be useful if you want to do Autopia as you can get in queue ready for when it opens at 10am.
