Hi, I am planning a trip with my family in February and have been told presidents day weekend should be avoided.

Since that is on 15th of February, We are thinking about traveling in the first week or the last week of February I just don’t know what would be better....As far as Lower crowds or special events that might be nice to enjoy, we’ve never traveled during that time of year so any info would be great. Thanks

No real difference in crowds, now that Princess Half Marathon weekend has gone virtual.

If Epcot Festival of the Arts happens in some form, that's a lot of fun. The dates in 2020 were January 17 - February 24.
Wow I didn’t realize that the run Disney event was virtual but that makes complete sense. Would anybody say that crowds might actually be low during Presidents’ Day weekend or is it still better to skip that week no matter what

I would absolutely skip the holiday weekend.

Crowds on weekends now are significantly higher than weekdays, and the holiday would make that even more pronounced.

The announcement about the race weekends was just made today.

Thank you so much for your help!

Other than avoiding Presidents weekend, we haven't found the beginning or end of February more or less advantageous. Have a great trip!

Generally speaking, I think crowds do dissipate following Presidents' Day (Monday) so later that week is usually lighter. But Mardi Gras falls within the same week this year, so I would avoid it completely. Your best bet is early February. Schools in the northeast have a school break in late February -- ours is 2/22 to 3/2.

I would definitely go early February before the breaks. Anytime after just keeps getting busier.

In normal times that week is very crowded since schools in the NE are off the entire week.

Last two weeks of February are big school vacation weeks in the Northeast. Having said that, who know how many people will be traveling if a vaccine isn't widely available. If you want to be sure of lower crowds, I would plan to go during the first two weeks.
