Sorry if this has been posted and answered before - I searched but couldn't find it.

I heard on another forum that someone had purchased the park to park pass to US/IOA from Dreams Unlimited, and if you buy the package with the Meers transport you will also get the early entry otherwise reserved to guests staying on site. Sounds too good to be true to me! Anyone have any recent experience?

TIA

Universal says this shouldn't be happening. Not sure what the latest scoop is.

Thanks! Sounds as if it a loophole in the process of being closed. Oh well, one more hour in bed!! LOL

Funny that you mention that. I was able to get in early admission with the DU ticket in September last year(& was told by a TM in 2010 that I could've gotten in 2010 early as well) The worst that they can ever say is no, so i'd try it when you get there, at best you'll be able to hit up WWOHP way before it gets crowded & get to knock it off your list earlier than the general public will be able to. We were one of the first ones in last year & got chosen at one of the first Ollivanders shows(bought the wands of course) & was able to knock out FJ, FOTH & DC including stopping for Butterbeer(Frozen please) & Pumpkin Juice as well as take a myriad of pics in a nearly empty area which is definitely worth it. Good luck & report back your findings.

I was told that somehow Dreams Unlimited were issuing tickets that were supposed to be for people who had purchased an offsite package. It was being investigated.

Does anyone have some news about this?

(Registered especially for this question :cool1: Great info here!)

Haven't heard anyone report on being let in early in a very long time.

2nd..My neighbor got back 3 weeks ago and was denied early entry thru the DU /Mears pkg.So I am doubting that loophole is open anymore

Thank you for the confirmation! I think i'm happy about this too.. although I would have love to use the early admission, I'm glad I don't have to cheat to do it, if you know what I mean. :)

Just thought I'd pop in to say that on Wed 10/17 I was granted early entry with the DU package. The person checking tickets said the early entry line was for resort guest or people with UPRV (or something like that, I can check my ticket later), and just to be safe I went over to show mine and he let me and the hubbs in. So I don't know what the deal is!

Seems to be the luck of the draw these days.

Any updates on this since October?

Trying to decide whether to use Dreams Unlimited package. Cost for 5 of us would be about the same as taxi.

Taxi would be more flexible, but early entry for Harry Potter would certainly make Dreams Unlimited the best choice.

Nobody has mentioned it and it looks like the Dreams Unlimited package has gone up considerably. Not sure if that means they are using different tickets now.

OK, thanks.

I will call Dreams Unlimited to see if their package is intended to allow early entry. If so, their price is probably worth it to us.

Keep us posted.

Couldn't find a phone number for Dreams Unlimited, but sent an e-mail and received a prompt response.

They say that the tickets do not include early entry for Harry Potter, although they are aware of some folks being let in early with them.

So...no way I'm going to get to the park at 8am only to find out that we have to wait until 9am to enter.

And from the price-checking I have done, a taxi plus Undercover Tourist tickets will cost 5 of us just about the same as the Dreams Unlimited Package, so I think we will go with the taxi.

Thanks for reporting back. I think your decision is a wise one.

I recently looked into getting a special on a condo. It was one of those things where they would give us a very cheap condo if we listened to their time share pitch. It also included two park tickets with the option to buy more. In the US/ IOA option to buy more tickets it included one day of early entry to IOA. I am not sure what that was about as it did not appear to be a US partner hotel. I believe it was a Westin Resort. I know it advertised on DIS and I clicked the link from here to get the info. In the end the deal was not going to be worth the time share pitch for me. :snooty:
