Early Entry attractions that are open

At IOA it is Flight of the Hippogriff, Dragon Challenge, Forbidden Journey and the Ollivander's wand choosing experience.

At Universal is is Gringotts and Ollivanders.

Despicable Me is also open early at Universal.

I wish I knew this or touring plans knew this. We left DA and had trouble getting back in.

You're the first one to report that Despicable Me is open early. Wonder if that is new or that nobody else knew!

i read that DE was open earlier this summer for EE on some days.

but with parry hotter opening, more are interested in getting in that line.

they have select areas opened early for the hotel guests.

I know that, but why wouldn't they open everything. It's only an hour and I'm sure many guests would take advantage of the crowds running to HP to do many other attractions in that empty first hour

That's just the way it is and has been.There may be an additional ride or 2 in high crowds but that is it..It is a HUGE bummer too when things arent working right.When we went last summer, the only things open were Transformers and Despicable me..Transformers was down and Despicable me had an hour wait because it was the only thing working.The one morning they knew Transformers wouldnt be up so they got Mummy up and running, the other morning it was wait for Despicable me or sit on a bench for an hour.

While it would be nice to have more open, I can't think of a single theme park that opens everything during early entry.

For Example:

Magic Kingdom only opens Tomorrowland and Fantasyland.

Cedar Point (Ohio): Ocean Motion, Midway Carrousel, Raptor, Millennium Force, Iron Dragon, Maverick and Planet Snoopy.

In most cases, they use that hour to get the rest of the park ready for the day. In Universal case, on top of that, prior to Cabana Bay, most of the guests who were eligible for early entry were also eligible for unlimited express. So, from a guest prospective, most guests are going to go towards the rides that don't have express (HP) or have long express lines (despicable me). Everything else, the deluxe onsite guest can pretty much ride whenever they want with a minimal wait. There's no need to wake up early for it.

Disneyland only opens tomorrowland and California Adventure only opens Carsland and Toy Story.

Sometimes the Caro-Seuss-el is open but I don't think anything else is.
