RideMax recommends getting to the turnstiles at 6:30 a.m. on MM. I trust them, but thought I'd check here: What time can I go through security?

Last August I saw security open at 6:25 a.m.

Here is some more information from the "Magic Morning (Early Entry) Super Thread" by DLR29: :wizard:

When does security open on a MM day?
According to one board member, the security lines have opened at 6:25-6:30 on a day when the park opens at 8AM and MM is at 7AM.

Where should I wait in line?
The best bet to secure your front of the line spot, is to just wait by the security tables, even if the esplanade is open. The guests in the esplanade will be forced to backtrack and go through security when Cast Members show up.

If I get to the turnstiles too early, will I lose my well earned place at the front of the line?
Yes. Prior to the official opening of the security lines, all guests must leave the esplanade to get in line at the security tables. Instead of being at the turnstiles, at the front of the line, you will be behind all of the guests who lined up at the security tables.

Don't worry too much about it...if you are there before security opens, you know you'll be on track for a great gate position! We've hit it a few times when intending to be 30-40 mins early, but the wait was minimal.

Last Sunday, we were first in line at Security at 6:20 and they didn't open until about 6:40. Not sure what the hold up was. . .

clueless newbie Q

early entry (onsite guest) via monorail...

where is security in this case? (before or after monrail ride?)

would it be quicker to take the monorail to access Tomorrowland or should we just go to main gate, early & wait

same procedure for non-early entry days?popcorn::

I would not recommend taking the monorail in for Magic Mornings or any morning for that matter. It's a hit or miss on when it will actually arrive at the Tomorrowland station. It's much better to be at the front gate at any park opening. Security is before you take the monorail ride.

The only reasons why I would ride the monorail:
-As a ride/attraction (get some nice pics from it)
-To get to DTD for a meal from DL
-To get to DLH or PPH faster after a long day's walk in the evening
