I'm looking at a Delta flight that lands at MCO @ 11:05 meaning we'd be at the Dolphin by about noon. My 78 yr. old mom and under 2 yr old granddaughter will be along so I'd really like to check-in as soon as we get there. There's another flight landing @ 5:30 for the same money and I need to commit soon. Any experiences, positive and negative, with early Dolphin check-in? I'm a Starwood member if that matters.

Thanks,

We arrived around 12:00 our last trip and we were allowed to check in at the Dolphin BUT we could not go to our room as it wasn't cleaned yet. They did allow us to check (fill out paper work etc) in and then they took and stored our suitcases etc. They also let us into another room for a few minutes to change DS and DD into bathing suits, use the restrooms, change diapers etc.. We went to the restaurant and had lunch and then used the pool. By the time we were done our rooms were ready and our luggage was waiting for us. I would call and make sure that they will still do this as this was almost 3 years ago and the hotel was not to full. Good luck it can't hurt to ask.

We checked in around noon on a Sunday and they let us in early and this was Thanksgiving week.

I've checked in early several times. As long as they have a room ready, there will be no problem.

I have checked in at both the S and D early - around 10:30/11:00 am (we take the 7:00 am non-stop flight). Both times our room was ready.
