Early Arrival

We have early park hours at 8 am and 7am respectively when we are at Universal. Just wondering, with staying onsite how early do you need to get to the gate- is it 15 mins before these times or 30 or at the time? THanks!

It probably depends on when you are going. We never made it right when it opened and FJ was still a walk-on. (And Escape from Gringotts too! Though only IOA had early arrival when we were there, FJ was down one morning so they opened up Escape from Gringotts early on the other side!)

I wouldn't gamble with it late then, as that's on the cusp of the big crowds. I'd go for 15 minutes before the first day and then adjust for the second day depending on how it goes - figuring the second day will get more crowded but the 7am time will scare some off. Keep in mind too that it could be the same park with the early hour both times. Also, note that walk from the hotel can be faster than the boats sometimes. We stay at RPR and once beat the boat by at least 10 minutes.
