We will arrive to the Fort in the middle of the night and can't check in until morning. Can we pull into the side parking lot and snooze for a few hours until we can check in? Will they knock on the door and ask us to leave? Thanks.

While Disney "officially" discourages this practice, many folks report that they do it when arriving early. If asked by employees, just say traffic wasn’t as bad as you thought and you got there early.

Depending on the route you take, several rest areas are north of the greater Orlando area that could also provide a place to stop and nap.

Keep in mind that the offical checkin is at 3pm. The last two times we arrived we didnt get in till 1pm and 12pm, this was dec 05 and june 06. We usually stay in Ocala and then arrive about 10:30am. You can checkin early when they open get everything done and wait on a site in the overflow lot.

If you are staying on a camp site checkin is at 1pm, but if you are in a cabin check in is at 3pm. I like to get there Early most of the time between 4-6 am to get the day started and have had no problem staying the parking lot. I also checkin as soon as I get there to get into the system and start our day. Sometimes we get lucky and they will let us right on our site.
