Early arrival at Legoland Resort

We plan to spend time at Legoland before our Disney vacation. We would arrive at MCO around 11am putting us at Legoland by 1pm. The resort doesn't let us check in until 4pm. Will the resort let you come early and use pool etc or should I plan on spending time in the park that day too?
