Early ADR's

Has anybody did GG early then gone onto Soarin' before the park opens? If so what time will the Disney staff start loading the ride? It would be even nicer to ride it multiple times before having to use my fast pass.
We did this in December. Had 8:10am reservations and walked in right before 8am. We’re fast eaters so were done by I’d say 8:40, but the kids had to use the restroom. Even doing that we were down at the ride and the very first group on, before 9am. I don’t think you’ll get more than 1 ride quickly because as soon as we were off a wave of rope drop guests were there. We booked it to meet Ralph & Vanellope.

I will get there at 8:00 sharp, as suggested, and I should be good to go for being one of the first at Soarin'.

You'll want to be at EP sooner than 8:00 sharp. You've still got to get through bag check and the PPO entry. I'd be there by 7:45 sharp.

Also, pay when you're seated so you can leave as soon as you're ready to go.

Not sure what you mean by EP....... do you mean EPCOT? I'm actually going to be at GG at 8:00 sharp. ( Not sure if I implied that originally.) My resort Sunday/Monday is Boardwalk so I was going to go through the International Gateway around 7:40 to get to GG around 7:55. Should that be okay? Good tip on prepaying early, I will do that!

Wow, of all the luck. I just landed a 8:05 a.m. time for GG an hour ago. I will get there at 8:00 sharp, as suggested, and I should be good to go for being one of the first at Soarin'. I did the rope drop for this park twice last year and they were between 8:57-9:00 both times. That should give me 45-50 min to eat, which is fine with me. Unless Epcot changes their hours that morning, I will get to ride Soarin back to back. ( I have a fast pass at 9:00 a.m.) (I also have a real addiction to the ride.:worship:)

To the poster Hopefully; you'll be happy to know that I relinquished my Crystal Palace and Hollywood & Vine ADR'S at 8:00 a.m. on WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY. Although I'm not giving up my early ADR's, for Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Nobody asked you to give them up IF they were on different days, now did they?

Yes, EP meand Epcot. Your plan is perfect.

I believe the point is, no one should be asking him to give up ADRs in the first place. Obviously, he cant eat at two places on the same day and will eventually do so when his plans are set, as he did.

Well since you didn't have the ability to read my sentence correctly, the first time posting, and I didn't say anything to you originally, I figured I would at least tell you sarcastically that I did give up the 2 adr's that I had. Geez, you called me selfish and inconsiderate because you couldn't decipher what I was saying, originally. Next time reread a sentence multiple times so that you understand it's meaning, before posting negative comments. To everyone else, thank you for understanding!

PLEASE CANCEL one if on the same morning so that another family can experience a preopening ADR.
Holding two coveted ADRs for the same time, only one of which you can use, is inconsiderate and selfish.
Just in case you still dont get it, here's a quote from my original post, "The parks will open, tentatively, at 9:00 A.M., on both days." The key words in that sentence are "on both days."

The only 8 am ADRs I have found helpful were Akershus ( the early day’s of FEA) and Garden Grill, which we use successfully every time. We always go downstairs and get on Soarin pre park opening and are at TT by 9 or a few minutes after. We fp FEA. The ONE time wr got an ADR for BOG 7DMT was down the first 45 minutes of the park opening. I don’t see any benefit to AK or HS PPOs because the attractions which are hard to get are too far away and open too early to do any good. That said, it is very nice to walk around a mostly empty park. I would do it for that reason alone. I have also booked a PPO for H&V as I will be going in September and did it more to try to gain entry into the park rather than any ride benefit. Worried about the parks being too crowded in the early days. After I see how California shakes out I may drop H&V. To address the criticism about having 2 ADRs, I depend on last minute cancellations while at Disney so I find it a blessing that people have reservations to cancel. We have problems with hard planning so it helps to have options to keep plans flexible.

If it's still a PPO ressie, GG will still seat you in the order you arrive at the restaurant. So be one of the first to get there. Eat and pay early. That should allow you to be among the first to ride Soarin.
yes and we were on Soarin by 8:45

Good deal! Get there before 8 get seated and put right away. When we did it we saw all the characters and were completely around by 8:35-8:40. Walked downstairs and a couple minutes later they started loading Soarin. Have fun! This is a must do for us. Normally we single rider TT but since the grandkids got tall enough we ride together. Go straight from Soarin to TT or head to FEA. I would recommend TT unless you have young princesses in your party.

Thanks for the advice and comments! I used to do Akershus as an early ADR but I just don't care for the food. This will be my first for GG. There's only 16 table service restaurants I have never done at WDW and this May I will add 3 more different restaurants to the list. Only problem is by the time I go back different restaurants will open and I still won't be any closer to completing them all. I guess that's good though, I like to mix things up a bit.

I'm really hoping to do Soarin' twice after GG, then go over to TT, then back to Soarin' for my first Fast Pass. (Yes I really do like Soarin'!) Then Ill use my second FP for spaceship earth and grab another FP for Soarin', once I get into line for Spaceship Earth. ( Originally, when booking my three fast passes on MDE I only get 2 fast passes for EPCOT and Animal Kingdom, that gives me access for Soarin and Flight of Passage again at 10:00ish for that third FP, if the park I'm in opens at 9:00. If the FP for either of them rides are to late into the day, then I don't bother. So far I have been lucky and landed both fast passes before 12:30 in the last two years.

Unless you know a trick I don't, this won't work. When a park has Tiers, you have to use or let expire all 3 FP+ before you can get that 2nd Tier 1 FP. If you only have Soarin' and Spaceship Earth, you need to make another Tier 2 somewhere in there even if you don't plan to use it in order to get another Soarin' FP that same day.
