early ADR at CRT, please help!

Hi,

I just got a reservation at CRT for 8:10. We are staying at Pop, how much time should I allow to get there? Do the buses start running 2 hours before the park opens? Should I take a cab instead? I am a little confused about how this will work, the CM told me I would need park admission as well. Will they just scan our tickets when we enter?
Any help would be great and really appreciated!

The busses do run early. I have never had trouble catching the first bus to MK around 7:15 or so and making it to MK on time. If you feel nervous about it, you can call a cab as well. If you do not have the hopper option on your tickets, make that your MK day - that's all they were trying to get at when they told you about park admission. If you have the hopper option, no problem. They will just scan your ticket and you can stay or go to another park. Go to the far left turnstiles when you arrive and you will be allowed to enter the park early. It's so neat seeing Main Street practically deserted!

Thanks so much for the reply! Will a cab take me right to the front gates of MK like the bus would? I am really liking the idea of seeing main street empty as well as getting a few good pictures of the castle.

I am sure that they told you this when you made your ADR but make sure to have your confirmation # for the CM at the gate. Also, check with the desk at POP and find out when the buses start running. We were at WL and had an early ADR for CRT and the boats didn't start running until 1 hour before the park opened. We had to sprint down Main Street to make it and had very little time to enjoy the walk down the deserted street.

No, the cab cannot drop you off at the gates. It will take you to the TTC and you will have to take the monorail or ferry to MK. Still faster than a bus sometimes - but do check with guest services the night before and see what they say.

Don't ask at the front desk about the busses, most of the time they don't know. Ask someone wearing "purple pants" i.e., Disney bus drivers about the bus schedule.

We have gone twice in two years and had probably 6-7 early character breakfasts and never had a problem getting there. Be at the bus stop around 7 or 7:15 and you'll get there in plenty of time. A cab will drop you off at the TTC if I understand correctly, then you'll have to take the monorail or boat to the gate.

Another option that will give you a little more control, but comes with a price (cash and a 10 minute walk)... You can take a cab from POP to the CR, and walk to MK from there.

The buses should start running around 7. you should allow an hour. Bring your ADR number as they check you off at the entrance.

Just remeber to leave extra time. THe busses do start early but they don't run as often so if you miss one-you will have to wait awhile. Also-the Pop resorts are large and many people may also be going to various early breakfasts. We have an 8:10 for CRT on our 1st day and we decided to rent a car from the airport so we can drive ourselves. It made us feel better to not have to rely on busses for that early morning. We will just return the car to Swan/Dolphin that afternoon. I think it was about $35 for the day. Good luck!

Do an early wake up - be at th bus stop at 6:50 am - buses start at 7 am - do not miss it. Bring a granola bar or something to tide you over till Cindy's.
Then enjoy! Main Street to yourself Pictures with the Princess Get on the ride of your choice after breakfast before the mad rush of the day

or take the cab to the contemp and walk 5 minutes to the MK gates. the line for the monorail might be a little long.

Is it easy to get from the Contemporary to MK? I am a bit "direction" challenged, so if it is basic that might be a great idea!

Yes, very easy. If you are stadining in front of the Contemporary, facing the resort, there is a parking lot to your left. Go toward the parking lot and you should see signs to the path. The path basically leads you past the parking lot (a little bit through it) and then onto MK entrance. Just follow the other people, believe me, there will be some. If all else fails, just ask, someone will lead the way.
