Earliest way to get from Polynesian to MK on morning EMH days?

Early Morning Magic isn't as big as of deal as Extra Magic Hour - waaaay less people taking advantage,which is why the worry that transportation won't be provided. Resort Monorail beam down for closure Tuesday mornings.

The monorail is on a long term refurb and upgrade so it may not be going when you want it unfortunately. I don't mean to sound rude or anything and haven't been to the poly in a long time but is looking out the window to see what is moving an option? i'd aim for monorail because if that's down there should be a bus and hopefully it's not boat to have to walk all the way over there. (I'm lazy).

Just keep in mind that things change. Just because there were buses one Tuesday, doesn't mean it will be the same on the next.

We have a couple days in which we are doing really important things early and we Uber. Compared to what we were paying for the vacation, what's $12 to ensure we do the couple of must do AM things we have planned.

We are staying there in Aug. Can't you walk from the poly to mk? How far of a walk would it be? We have never stayed there as we are a wl family. We have a ppo breakfast in the castle on tue. Thanks had I not read your thread I would have been in the dark until morning of the meal. It is too expensive to miss so thanks.

You can only walk to the MK from the Contemporary.

I guess I'm looking for someone who knows specifics about Tuesday mornings. Resort Monorail - shut down. Shuttle boat running - who knows when?? it starts. Has any person actually been provided a bus? This is what I'd like to know.

In July 2014, we stayed at Poly. The monorail was not running some mornings. There was a bus for MK and Epcot that picked up at the normal AK, DHS, waterpark, and Disney Springs bus stop just out front and to the left, toward the TTC. The front desk was clueless. A bus driver even asked us what we were waiting for, and we told him the bus to MK. He said the monorail was running. We were trying to hit rope drop and possibly EMH. I asked him if he had seen one go over head this morning, and then he said no So, bone up on the info on this site to know what you should do. The info will be here on the boards or on wdwinfo. A bus will be provided if the monorail is not running.

I thought the sidewalk to the left of the MK near the monorail went to the GF and Poly. Were does it go and does it just end? Do you know the walkway I am talking about starts somewhat behind the monorail?

It goes to the launch for the GF & Poly, then a little further it ends. There is a canal that contains the Electric Water Pageant floats, beyond that point.

wasn't there a permit or two filed to get in more walkways between these resorts and MK? maybe it was just the filing to do environmental impact study

does this ring a bell for anyone else, googling didn't come up with anything.

Yes, there is a shuttle boat from the Poly to MK and back (with a stop at Grand Floridian on the way to the Poly.)

I take the monorail (when it's running.)

There are some available, but they may or may not be reliable.

The actual times change too frequently and inconsistently to be accurate.

Monorails may be operating with modified service and routes. During your upcoming visit, please check first with a Cast Member to be sure that monorail transportation is the best possible option for you, as there are many other transportation options available!"

You CAN walk from Polynesian to TTC. But you cannot walk from Polynesian to MK.

Guests can even walk between TTC, the Poly and the Grand Floridian.
(Assuming that they have the areas near the lagoon open to guests.
I don't know how the recent tragic event has affected that long walkway between Poly and GF.)

But, it is not designed (nor is it allowed) for guests to walk between the MK and any other resort except for the Contemporary / BLT.

No sidewalks connecting MK and TTC.
No sidewalks connecting MK and the Poly.
No sidewalks connecting MK and Grand Floridian.

I see! Could the OP not then walk to the TTC and get the boat to MK?
