Earliest way to get from Polynesian to MK on morning EMH days?

Monorail?
Boat?

We're early risers and don't mind waiting at our destination, so we're looking for the earliest way we can hop on some transportation. Does the monorail start running prior to the boats?

Thank you...

In order of preference:

If resort monorail is running, resort monorail.
If shuttle boat is running, shuttle boat.
(If resort monorail is NOT running, there will likely be buses provided to MK gates.)

If MK EXPRESS monorail is running, walk to TTC and take it to MK.

So do people call the front desk each morning at the sevens seas lagoon hotels to figure out what is running?

Sadly, the desk knows nothing about the daily changing transportation options.

My worry is Tuesdays. We have EMM planned for August. Staying at the Polynesian. Worried that No one will have a clue the night before about what to tell me...... I am hoping for a bus to get me there. I think its ridiculous to ask someone to walk to TTC to get Express Monorail. A bus should be provided, but I'm worried that no one will be organized and it will be a Sh$t Show.

Not sure if this is helpful, but I was able to easily catch a boat from the Poly to EMH (7:00 am) in December. I saw a boat leave the dock at 6:30, and we hopped on one 10 minutes later and arrived just as the welcome show ended. I believe the boat typically starts 30 minutes before park opening for EMH. Assuming boats are running, of course!

That is so ridiculous though!!! Some sort of Polynesian transport (bus, little boat if its running that early) to the Park should be provided. I shouldn't have to pay $$ for a cab just to get to a park for a ticketed event that I have already bought. Does anyone else have any ideas??? thanks so much.

Have a great trip.

I guess I'm looking for someone who knows specifics about Tuesday mornings. Resort Monorail - shut down. Shuttle boat running - who knows when?? it starts. Has any person actually been provided a bus? This is what I'd like to know.

Early Morning Magic isn't as big as of deal as Extra Magic Hour - waaaay less people taking advantage, which is why the worry that transportation won't be provided. Resort Monorail beam down for closure Tuesday mornings.

When we were there, we went for a pre park opening breakfast and were told the only thing running was a bus that circled Poly, gf, contemporary and the ttc and so we took it to the contemporary and walked. Of course a ferry pulled in right as we got to mk, but I wouldn't count on it (it was a day the monorail openened after 9). I definitely would not prefer this method, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

We always take the resort monorail from the Poly, and it usually will start running around 7 am unless it is being serviced. As Robo pointed out, the desk staff will not know BUT....you can ask the CMs working on any monorail platform, and they will tell you what the next day's schedule will be. Same deal with bus schedules; always ask the bus drivers. Going to the source has always served me well.

Agree. But don't worry. Disney will offer transportation. Worst case, a bus.

We had major issues with EMM in May from the Poly. Monorail was supposed to open at 7, but after waiting for 10 min a tech came and told us it was delayed. Had to go back downstairs to be told that no boats were running but buses were. Waited outside for 10 min for a bus, none came.

Fed up, I went inside and a manager called a taxi cab who took us to the Contemporary and we walked from there.

The only "monorail" resort that I truly love is BLT due to its walkability to the MK and not needing to rely on transportation!

I agree!! The monorail resorts are so expensive and part of the that perceived premium is the access to faster transportation than guests at other more reasonably priced resorts! Mind boggling!!!!

We were at the Poly last Tues and had an 8:05 CRT ADR, I was worried also because the monorail was down for scheduled maintenance. We got to the bus stop around 8:20 and waited about 5 minutes for a bus, which stopped at GF and then on to MK. Made it to CRT right at 8:05.
