Oh my Gosh!! This was so unbelievably good!! I had read reviews here for years about the Earl of Sandwich but had never taken the time to try it on all my trips to the World. Just got back from a long MLK holiday weekend trip with 22 youth from our church and needed something cheap(but good) to eat for dinner outside the park on Sunday night. We chose Earl of Sandwich and I was blown away with the fabulous taste, the selections, and the service. We had such a large group but the helped our group one by one with their selections then brought it out to our tables and called out each sandwich individually to make sure everyone got the right order. It tasted fabulous. Most of the group had sandwiches but I had the Chinese Chicken Salad and it was the best I've ever tasted!! You gotta try this place.

I was sad to see that it is not on the 2006 dining plan. We ate there last summer and it was great. It's very reasonably priced I thought, but with the dining plan we already have more than enough to eat, so we won't be doing any extras.

I so totally agree!!! EOS is a must do for us each trip - at least once. I can never pick between the sandwiches and the salads. So yummy!

I just double-checked the 2006 posting on the DVC member website, and according to that, Earl of Sandwich is still on the dining plan. I'm curious. What list are you looking at? The official website? I've heard there are a few misprints, there.

325 days and counting . . . again!

Edited to add: Great review, dcsetman!! Sounds like we need to check out Earl of Sandwich!

We ate at Earl last week and used our CS credits there. We didn't think it was as good as people say, though. :(

My DH and I were also impressed with EOS! We just ended up there and did not expect much. I had the Roast beef with Blue Cheese...OMG, it was amazing! DH had some chicken florentine sandwich which was also awesome. The bread is sooo good. I cannot believe the value. I believe it was a measley $4.95 for that huge sandwich.

Please don't take this as a slam on your review but we have eaten as EOS a couple of times and even though we like it, its nothing to get that excited about. It's OK for the money considering food prices at WDW and we will eat there again if we are in that area. We will just leave it at that...smjj

Over Christmas, I sent dh in to order 2 sandwiches for the 5 of us to share as a snack -- a SNACK, mind you, NOT a MEAL!! He was overwhelmed by the choices and couldn't decide, so he ordered 5 different sandwiches. They were ALL excellent! I love, love, love the EoS!!

We adored EoS!!!

It was our official "last" meal at Disney last year. I had this amazing bbq ham sandwich, and I don't even remember what DH & the kids had I was so wrapped up in my own meal. (I think DH had tuna & DD had PB & J, but I don't remember what DS had.) DH & I both put EoS on "will return" list.

The restaurant was crowded, but the line moved very quickly.

One little note of complaint - We all got bags of chips w/ our sandwiches. I opened my bag & found the chips to be really stale. So, I went back & got another one - same thing - so I went back & got another bag. Minor inconvenience & the CM was very helpful & willing to let me get another bag & then another bag.

Anyway, 2 thumbs up for EoS!!

Its the best, isnt it? I have rarely seen a bad review! I love it.

I just wanted to add that when we got there, it seemed very crowded and the line was HUGE...but I was impressed with how quickly the line moved.

Glad to hear you enjoyed EOS. It is one of our favorite places to eat at WDW. The sandwiches are delicious. :goodvibes

inky dinky doo,

I just checked the mousesavers site and the Earl is listed. That is so strange because I would swear it wasn't listed about a month ago. My DH hasn't eaten there yet, and it was one place I planned to take him until I looked at the DP brochure. It's so inexpensive I couldn't understand why they would take it off the plan (maybe the long lines?) I'm happy now!

DH and I also love the EOS. I think it is about the best priced meal, for what you get, at Disney. The hardest thing is choosing what to have! At this time of year you should try the tomato soup (always available) and ask for it with croutons. Fabulous!

EOS is one of my favorites. Make it a point to eat there numerous times every trip. Five days and counting...

We went there during our last trip in August and it was decent. They had a good selection. But I didn't find anything special about it. Just a sandwich shop. Maybe we are just not big sandwich people? :confused3

It was a nice change though from the usual park CS of burgers, pizza and hot dogs.

i'm glad i saw this- we are planning on eating here on our last day and also picking up sandwiches for the ride back (2 day drive planned). wasn't sure how it would turn out but now it looks as if we've made a good choice!!
