We are taking our almost 1 year old to WDW in January. I am a speech therapist and am always concerned about ear protection. What have others done during Fantasmic, Wishes, etc. I remember them being pretty loud. Short of not going, which we will if we have too, what do you all do/ have done? I was thinking about ear muffs because it may be cold anyway. Thanks! :scratchin

The curved ones at the bottom are downright comfortable, and the ones with the stems are handy. For our son, I run some thread between the stemed versions to act as a retaining device -- sort of the chain a lady might use on her glasses. Fortunately, I've found a printing company in my area which sells them by the pack -- they purchase them in bulk for their employees to wear and sell some at a decent price to the public as well.

what worked well for DD this trip was earplugs. Found them at Walmart in the section with ear drops very inexpensive and work GREAT!!!!! she is 6 now and for the first time on our June trip she was actually able to see the fireworks shows and not be freaked out by the 3D movies which combine the loud sound and 3D effects and for a kid with LOTS of sensory issues it was a HUGE step forward ...
