EA Experts Please

I have only used EA 1 time 5 years ago. Since then I have need a car to drop off at the port and could not use National. Being a cheap person, would rather spend my money in the parks, I can save by using National EA. Have a mini van reserved at Thrifty for $169 +tax. But can get a car at National for $163 with taxes. We need for 6 passengers (3 adults, 3 kids), is there ever anything available with a full front seat. We don't care if we are cramped, easy packers, and only need to get to resort and back to airport and 2 days to Universal. We are arriving 12/4 at 6pm. Thanks

I've used EA probably 5 times at MCo in the last few years. Most of the cars on EA have been Camrys, Intrepids, Aleros. Very few cars these days have the full front seat, and most have very small trunks--we have trouble fitting our luggage in, and there are just 3 of us. I would stick with the minivan to be sure I would have room for the people and the luggage

My number one suggestion for rental cars is not to reserve something you can't fit in.

Based on what is normally on EA, you won't fit. I wouldn't risk it since if they don't have what you need, they can charge what they want for the larger car.

Stick with the minivan. EA has been too unreliable now to hope for a car larger than intermediate. Few have gotten one bigger, but the chances are now few and far apart. I gave up on EA after my July trip and the aisle being completely empty. (I did go to the kiosk and ask if I could take a car from the Executive aisle and was told NO and to pick one from the intermediate aisle). I've since started using emerald reserve and have a full size reserved for my next trip in October.

I'm sorry but I could barely fit my family of 4 and luggage in an Intermediate which is all that is guaranteed on the EA.

Why pay about the same at EA when you can get so much more space at Thrify with the minivan??
