E-Ride or PM EMH for June

Any guesses as to if they'll have E-Ride or PM EMHs in June? We'll be there June 8-18, and I haven't planned our schedule yet waiting to find out what's going to happen. I want to make our PSs, but I need to figure out which parks were going to which days in order to do that. Any guesses or inside information?

If anyone knows, they're not telling! I'm hoping for a good old-fashioned E-ride night June 4th. I noticed the trial of extended hours had nothing for Friday or Saturday nights.

I am in the same boat. I really wonder if I will have to tour with the nights or not. I don't like it one bit. We have little ones and will be up at the crack of dawn everyday, I really hope there is someplace for us to go everyday! If they offered both morning and night time hours I would think it was great- but I am really going to miss that second EE day at MK the way it is now.
I don't think Disney would be testing it if they did not plan to use it in the future. Possibly with some tweeks, but I think we will be seeing more of these night time hours. The question for me is, how long will they need to look at the data? I go from June 1-8th and hope they will still be 'thinking' about it for that week.

At this point, a guess would be nothing more than a guess, and inside information is nonexistent.

The purpose of the test later this month is to gauge response and determine whether to make the evening EMH permanent or not.

If I were in your position, I would make plans based upon the current (morning) EMH schedule. Even if they decide to change, there are really too many variables to determine what may happen, including:

- How quickly will they permanently implement the new schedule.
- Whether they will use the May (testing) schedule or a completely different schedule.

Plan using the info you have now, and adjust if necessary.

I'd make plans based on the current EMH, but have contingency plans. We'll be there in early June and I'm planning for the morning only times, but I do have a plan just in case they switch to having evening hours as well.

Can I suggest maybe trying to get an early PS at one of the character breakfasts in place of the EMH for the morning?

If it isn't too late to get a PS for say 8:15am at Crystal Palace, that would be just as much fun as having the EHM. Then by time you are done eating, you are already in the park and can head right to the attractions.

Cindyfan that's a grat idea for those wanting to hit the park early. We are not early risers in my family so we will really like the pm EMH. I would be just as happy with an E night except for it looks like more attractions are open on the pm EMH.

I just talked to a good friend of mine last night....they are headed out to WDW on Mothers Day.....
She received the post card last week and is really excited about it.

We have always taken advantage of E-ticket nights....so if they carry over to June....it would be like getting an E-ticket night for free.:teeth:

It would be great if they keep the same schedule too....we would plan MK for Wed. evening....there is no Spectro scheduled (seen it and not a must see again for us)...so that would mean it won't be that bad anyway for crowds. We plan to avoid MK on nights that Spectro is running. But "Wishes" is a MUST, so we would go to see that an stick around for the EMH.:hyper:

Cindyfan...had you thought about a Wishes cruise? We have one booked and Im really looking forward to it. Plus you can catch the EWP.

Your guess is as good as mine. We are hoping for e rides in early July.

I sent an email to WDW regarding e-ride nights about a month ago and received received a message from Katie in the Executive Office on 04/02/04. She started out by saying that e-ride nights are based on attendence and that they are done to give resort guests something extra to do at night when the crowds are up. She advised that e-ride nights are not gone forever and that there will probably be at least 2-3 a week in the summer months. I thought this was promising news, but this was also before the EMH test was announced. So, I can't say for sure, but I would assume that they will still have some in June, July and August. If the test goes over well, they may do both.

After reading all this, I'm wondering if (and hoping that) during the summer/high seasons, they'll use regular old EMH in the morning with e-ride nights as a perk for on-site guests. Then during value seasons, etc. , they'll use the Park After Dark/EMH combined schedule as a perk. It would make it difficult for us Disney obsessive planners, but it may work better for Disney.

I can't figure out why you would want them both?
You want evening EMH and E-ticket nights?

Why would anyone pay for an E-ticket night if they have EMH for free?
This is basically what the evening EMH is, Right? The same attractions as E-ticket, but also we now have the other 3 parks.
Am I missing something here?

The E-ticket during the busy seasons, then the evening EMH only during the slower season? Not sure I understand the reasons there.

Why are you saying that paying for an E-ticket night is a "perk" when you are paying for it?

I think you're being rude to my DW with that response. She didn't say she wanted both. She said they may do both and that makes perfect sense. E-Ride nights are only at the Magic Kingdom and are limited to 5,000 people. Evening EMH is available at all the parks, but will only be available at MK one night a week and could have as many as 30,000 people there.

If there is a night where there is no EMH evening at any of the parks, why wouldn't it be a perk for E-Ride to be offered that night? You can get as many rides out of the $12 you pay for E-Ride as you can get for the $54.75 you pay for general admission to the park. You also get to experience the park at night when it is the most magical. You can argue which is better between evening EMH and E-Ride nights, but E-Ride nights have always been considered a perk and a new EMH program would not change that.

Personally I would prefer to keep EE and have E-Ride nights and forget all about the evening EMH. For me it is worth the $12 to have the limited crowds at MK (plus you would get 3 EE days back). However, I can understand why people would prefer to have the evening EMH and I would never respond to their post in a rude manner just because I don't agree with their preferences.

JUST CALLED, there are e-ride nights set up for July. I know that 9th, 12th and 14th are e-ride. There are several others (I didn't write them down).

To agree with Josh, yes, I think it is a perk that WDW onsite guests can pay $12 and get an e-ride night with a limited attendance. I'm sure off-site guests think it's a perk. Given that morning EMHs are known to fill a park quickly to the point where many people avoid them.... why would you want to go to a park that is offering evening EMH? Many, many people are saying they prefer evening hours. I think that during evening EMH, the parks will be horribly crowded since all those "sleep-in" vacationers will be there. You couldn't pay me to be in an evening EMH park. I would rather pay $12 to go to a park when I know there will be no more than 5000 people in attendance than spend a free evening in a park with every other onsite guest.

I think you're being rude to my DW with that response
Please don't call me rude!
It wasn't intended to offend any one....I really am wondering what the reasons are that you feel that way....maybe I was missing something?

No need to attack me! I have been a supporter of E-ticket nights.....been to many of them and love them!

But.....IMHO and only IMHO....meaning no offense to anyone!....If given the choice to go for free or pay an extra $12.....I would pick the Free EMH....
It hasn't been tested yet......so there is no way to know yet if the crowds for an evening EMH would really be any heavier than an E-ticket night.....that is something we will have to wait and see.

To assume that the evening EMH will be "horribly crowded" is premature. Give it a chance.......Keep an open mind.....it may surprise you.......::yes::

I prefer the E-ride nights, too. The evening EMH hours would not be any help during my short trip.

Sometimes, multiple ??? and !!! and capitalized words and shaking icons come across as pretty aggressive. I felt your post shouting at me, and it wasn't even directed to me.
