We will be in WDW for a short visit mid August. There happens to be an e-ride night one evening. We will not have a multiday pass this trip, due to its short nature. Is it still possible to by the wristband with a one day pass to the MK for the same day?

I believe the only way to E Ride Nights is the be staying at one of the Disney Resorts.

I believe the rules are: Disney Resort guest and a multiday pass. We were asked to show our passes when we purchased our e-tickets in May. (This was the first time we were ever asked to produce one at guest relations.)

We will be at the BWV's for our stay so we have the Disney resort part covered. I am pretty sure I heard that they are selling the bracelets at resorts (not sure which resort or how/why) off the property now too so I guess we will just have to see how things pan out. Has anyone else had lucky recently buying the bracelets on single days passes when staying on property?

They don't sell the "bracelets" at the resorts. You can buy the tickets at the resort you are staying at and then turn them in for wristbands once you're inside the MK. Other than the hotels listed below, you can't purchase them "off property".

Here are the "rules" regarding E night tickets:

"Disney Resort Guests, Hotel Plaza Blvd. Guests, Swan, Dolphin and Shades of Green Guests with multi-day passes can purchase a ticket for an after-hours party in the Magic Kingdom Park.
Offer good only for Disney Resort Guests with the following multi-day tickets: Ultimate Park Hopper, Park Hopper Plus, Park Hopper, Seasonal Pass, Annual Pass, Premium Annual Pass. You must have used your pass on the day of the event in order to gain entry."

Why not buy multi-day passes and use the unused days on the next trip? It's better value and the days never expire...

I think the only requirement is that you are a guest at a Disney resort and you have a ticket to get yourself into Magic Kingdom prior to the start of e-ticket night. I believe that ticket could be a hopper or a one-day ticket.

My recent experience: We bought our e-ticket night vouchers at the Wilderness Lodge check-in desk while we were (duh) checking in. I had already purchased my tickets through ticketmania.com, and the clerk had no idea what type of tickets I had. She didn't even ask -- she just sold me the e-ticket night vouchers.

I suppose it was a pretty safe bet that someone checking into a Disney hotel for a week is going to buy a multi-day pass!

Sorry Mrs. Pete, but a multi-day pass IS required. you just got lucky. Usually they do ask to see the passes.

No, it's supposed to be a multi-day pass. Whether or not they are consistent in checking passes is another matter, but you're not supposed to be able to purchase E-night tickets without one.

We purchased our tickets at OKW and they most definitely checked our passes. In fact, I don't recall ever getting E-night tickets without showing our passes.

Officially you need to be a WDW resort guest and have a multi day pass. Obviously some people have been able to purchase them, but I would not count on being able to without the multi day pass. They may say no. I know I was asked to produce my ticket the last time I was there.

This may be a dumb question, but is the ultimate park hopper ticket that we need to show to get our e-ticket on the hotel card? Or are they two separate cards? (Staying onsite, of course)

The check-in desk can code the UPH on your room key, along with charging privileges. You do need a separate ticket for enight, because you have to exchange that for the wristband.

I have been asked if I had multi-day tickets, but never had to produce them at OKW.

We have PAPs and I was asked to show them when I bought our tickets at Coronado Springs two weeks ago.
