There are two enights during our stay in August and I am deciding whether to go or not. We will be staying at the GF, so transport is not an issue.

My dh doesn't like rollercoasters, I love them. We have a 2 yo and a 4yo who I will leave with my mom, so I wondered if it is worth our while to do the e-night. The second enight is on the Friday (last night) of our stay, but I wanted to spend that night together.

I notice that there are fireworks scheduled for the Friday night at 10.45. Should I just pay the extra for the kids and my mom and do the e-night together on the Friday night, or just do the Tuesday enight with dh?

I've never been at an enight, so I don't know what attractions are open- I'm under the impression that it's mainly the thrill rides and Haunted Mansion, so there may not be enough to do with the kids KWIM?

Any advice, input appreciated

It's probably worth it. The "kiddie" friendly attractions that are open during e-night are:

Buzz
Country Bear Jamboree
TTA
Haunted Mansion (assuming their not too scared)
Astro Orbiters

The other attractions are:
Space Mtn.
Splash Mtn.
Big Thunder Mtn. RR
Alien Encounter

Your e-night rides are usually the three mountains, Buzz Lightyear, Alien Encounter, Astro Orbiter, Tomorrowland Transit, Country Bear, and Haunted Mansion (although sometimes it is Pirates instead of HM). I consider it mainly an opportunity to do the mountains which are otherwise the three toughest to get onto during the day. There are things for young kids such as characters by the castle and Country Bear, Buzz, Astro, and possibly HM, but with ones your age there is a real issue of how late they can go and still enjoy.

I might be misreading your post but unless your mom and kids (at least the 4 yr old) are going to one of the park those days they couldn't get an eride ticket for that night (and staying at one of the disney hotels too). I can't quite tell if you mean the kids are not with you at all for the trip or just that night! You have to be staying at the disney hotels and using a park pass for the eride day in order to get a ticket for that night.

In any case, if eride is late at night during your trip I would not bring the kids cause they're so young and there wouldn' be too much for them to do. In later august there are early eride nights scheduled (like 7-10 pm) and your kids could probably stay up for those but it might be more fun to go without them. Eride is great for doing those thrill rides over and over and over....:Pinkbounc

Thanks for that- I was thinking of the lateness issue. My dd (18 mo old) is like the Energiser bunny- if she naps during the day she'll happily motor on unbothered till 11.30 pm. DS is another matter, but I figure my mom would take them back to the hotel if one or other got cranky.

I was thinking that it might be a good way of experiencing Spectro and the fireworks in a less crowded environment?

Edited to add- we're all staying at the GF with the FT package so we do all have park tickets.
