d'ya ever notice

dis kids are close to perfect? Reminds me of Garrison Keillor when he's talking about Lake Wobegon where all the women are strong all the men are good looking and all the children are above average.
No child would ever break curfew, drink before they are 21 and then only in perfect moderation, drive too fast, argue with their mother or watch an R rated movie. They'd much rather hang with their moms on a Saturday night and then after a rousing game of scrabble are fast asleep by 10pm.

Me either . I love my DD but perfect she is not .

All I can say is with the girls in her school and around the rec.

I feel very lucky.

Perfection is in the eye of the beholder and I behold my children, perfectly. Even with warts and flaws, they are mine and they are loved.

Not angels, not devils; real kids, real lives and really mine.

When I look around (and I see a lot of kids), I know that I am truly Blessed. Hard work does pay off and sometimes it pays off: perfectly!

I can claim to have one angel, (but I tend to forget about the whining and his ocd behaviors). The other one is giving everything my brother did growing up. I think there was some confusion in regards to the curse my mother cast.

I used to be afraid to post because of all the perfection floating around now sometimes I feel like dissing with my boots on

what amazes me is that the perfect 'dis kids' manage to come from the same genetic pools that spawned their own 'psychotic, unmotivated/taker' uncles and aunts. 'b' grandmothers and other blood related individuals that seem to share absolutly no character traits.

realy makes me tend to beleive that the 'nurture vs. nature' folks are in the majority here.

My dd is no angel either...More like Snow White ---drifted....

But it just takes me two or three minutes to see what some girls her age are like (other in her GS troop) and i am happy with what i got...

It could be far worse.........
