I don't feel like I've gotten a discount in ages... but today I think I did. Dixie Landings with AP discount at $89 a night ($98.79 with tax). We were holding a $99+tax ASMo rez, buh-by.

Is it a deal?

Absolutely!! The only less expensive moderate rate I've ever heard of was when I nabbed the DL for $93 tax included in September 99. You did Good! Once again proving that it pay to call CRO back! Have a great, pixie-dust filled vacation!

Do you have to have the AP then or can you buy it when you arrive there?

I don't have one since I have leftover Hopper days, but if the savings is that good for the hotel, I might look into it.

Just go off the phone with CRO. I am jumping out of my skin. Got the AP rate for DxL (Riverside) and am paying $93.25 per night, tax included, for May 18-26th. I was paying $110.88 a night for AsMo. Pinch me and tell me I'm not dreaming!!!

I also got Dxl for May 4-13 at a great AP rate, $115 a night for the trundle also including tax. Thanks to everyone on these boards. Can I purchase the AP at the Disney store, show it upon arrival and not have it activated until I go to the parks the next day?

To answer the question, you don't need an AP in hand to make the reservation, but you do need it when checking in. You can purchase the AP's at the four major theme parks as well as a desk located down in DD... Just make a quick stop by & pick up your AP's....
