Now if i could get discount for BWI or YC??

Patience. It's a virtue. One that I seem to be running short of. I'm going about the same time as you and am waiting to see if any discounts come out too. But that's not likely to happen for months yet. Sigh. DH doesn't begrudge my time planning though. Says it keeps me from continually adding to his honey do list.:rotfl2:

My GF is the same way. Never wants to plan. I want an itinerary down to the hour. Oh well.

DH told me the same thing last night...and I came right in to work this morning and switched our HS and Epcot days and ADRs. I'll be planning up until the day we arrive.

I've learned over the years to not really talk to my husband about all the minor things - just the major ones. And not to bombard him all the time. So he lets me hang around the boards and when I think he should know something, I'll tell him. But really no more than once a day. And just a quick mention of something. *He* is not a planner, I am. While at Disney World, we really are a free flowing people, really not having a plan. Or so he thinks. :lmao:

Oh that is too funny!! I do the exact same thing, keep all the "minor details" to myself and then once we get there it all flows effortlessly. Little does he know, all of my months of tweaking and fine tuning are the reason we are so "free flowing"....lol

my DH is a little bit of a planner with me. I'm quite overboard with it but I love it. Half the fun for me. Anyways he doesn't understand why some of his friends can't stand Disney World. They gripe about the cost, wait times, DRIVING to the parks from offsite hotels, etc. Obviously them and their wives need help with WDW planning!

CWT---dude, agree with DW immediately, then go on about your planning:)
Don't have to tell everything you know;)

Totally understand. I think my hubby is about to confiscate my laptop for that reason.

I do the same. I'm a constant lurker on these boards, and I've learned at lot over the years. I learned a long time ago that DH wasn't interested in the details. I spend months fine tuning all the details of our trips. I obsess over budget, discounts, resorts, ADR's and even what to pack. He thinks I'm bonkers with the trip planning, but he admits it's nice to know that I've taken care of all the details. This makes it easier for him to get our business ready for our absence, and he does appreciate that.

My DW is about 4 weeks from finishing her masters degree and she is so focused on finishing that she doesn't want to talk about all the trip details. Like others, I have just started filtering out the little stuff and just talk about major changes with her. :) It is good to know I am not alone. The hard part for me is not talking about it in front of the kids because this is going to be a surprise.

Sounds exciting. :cool1:

Planning is everything when it comes to a Disney Vacation. I wish I knew everything (We've been taking Disney Vacations for over 30 years) and there's still things I learn on this web site.

We started out taking our children when there was only the MK. We now take the Grandchildren, and also take an adult trip with friends in the winter.

I always start planning a year ahead, pick my resort, then sit back and hope for a good deal. We do not do the FD but choose room discounts. Our last trip we started out with a AAA rate (2 rooms at BWI CL) 5 months into the planning got a general public discount for 35% off each room. A month later got an AP discount for 40% off our rooms. Thats a savings of over $2400 on our rooms.

pixiedust: Lot of Pixie Dust for a great trip at WL it's a beautiful resort. One of my favorite restaurants is Artist Point hope you plan one night there. Keep reading and learning the more you read, the more you'll learn about the in's and out's of how to plan a Great Disney Vacation. pixiedust:
