DVD player in van...

We bought a DVD player for our van this past summer. It's the kind that has two LCD's that strap onto the front headrests. Anyway, I tried to play a movie on it and there is an error message that reads, "No disk".
Hello? I know there is a disk in there because I just put one in. Is there any way to fix this problem? It's past the warranty time. HELP!

Does any of you lovely people have a DVD player in your vehicle that you would recommend? Preferably one that will last. Or do you know of a solution to my error message?

The optical eye thing might be dusty, try using a cleaning disk in the machine (you can buy them at Walmart or where ever).
