i have been backing up some of my photos but the last two disks i burned after only a few moments, it said it was a write error and the burning failed but when i loaded the disk and opened it the photos are there...is it possible it didn't finalize them somehow? usually it takes me 2 hrs to burn and verify a dvd so i know something isn't right...it is 16x and the nero burn page sets it at maximum speed but that is the only thing i see that is different from the settings on the other disks that burned fine...i tried with 2 different sets of photos to see if maybe something was up with one set but it would be odd to have all those photos from different (4) folders be messed up
thanks for any help

By the way using Nero, as you are setting up the disk for burning, in one of the latter steps it usually gives you a check box to chek on for finalizing the disk, but I can't remember which step that shows up in.
i did have a burning question about burning dvds
If you're burning at 16x (which I rarely do, usually 12x or slower), the burn should take maybe 10 minutes (probably less), and another few minutes to verify it.
