DVCers staying at non DVC resorts

We are new to dvc and were wondering, can you use points to stay at non dvc resorts, such as port orleans, poly, etc?

You can use points to stay at most of the other resorts (not value resorts) but it uses quite a few points compared to the DVC resorts.

Mrs. M is right. It just doesn't seem worth it. It'd make more sense to sell your points and make a ressie on cash.
