Hello for my upcoming trip I was going to get trip insurance does anyone have experience with the insurance offered through DVC on the website? Or should I go elsewhere. Thank you!! :flower1:

We haven't used it but just make sure you understand what it covers prior to purchase and that it is a good fit for you. My understanding is for cancellations that they only reiumburse you the MF for your points if you have to cancel as well as other nonrefundable costs (such as non refundable airfare). You also have to pay the fee for each UY of points you use for the vacation. So if you booked a trip using points from 3 UY you pay the fee 3 times.

Always found that searching online resulted in finding a better price with better features. There are a number of sites, such as squaremouth and PCT provide a lot of quotes. But make sure you do your research of what all the polices provide, what you need and what extras you might need. This includes trip cancellation, flight being cancelled, hotels, food, taxis if flight cancelled. The policies all pay different depending on what level of coverage you want. An example would be how long a delay in fights and how much coverage for lost luggage. Good luck

I have had good luck with it. It covered two trips and 20 people for $160 (2 years use points)..... can't beat that. Made a claim and it was paid quickly. Now for my trip to California I went with someone else due to the complexity of the trip.
