Is this different than the regular disney trip insurance? I wasn't asked if I wanted it while booking, but I just thought of it today. Can anyone tell me about it?

Thanks!

You get reimbursed $5 per point. So for a 100 point stay, you would get $500 if you cancel. I personally don't think it's worth it. The only time I would consider it is if you have a trip at the end of your use year and would not have time to rebook. They sent you a flyer with your confirmation, you buy it direct from the insurance company, not member services.

I was considering getting insurance for the first time because we'll be staying DVC after coming off of our cruise (PCC 2.0). I figured the risk of being delayed was a little higher coming off the cruise and might warrant the cost of the coverage. Anybody ever do this for a similar situation?

BTW, for whatever reason, DVC hasn't included the insurance flyer in the confirmation mailings for my last several reservations. Maybe they're scaling back on that practice or ending it altogether. TravelGuard must not be paying for the extra advertising anymore!

Hmm.... I didn't receive any other info other than my confirmation letter. I did just change resorts last week so I should be getting another one for the new resort. We'll see if it comes with any other info.
