DVC Transfer Receive Question

I have read several times on the board that “You are allowed to make 1 transfer per year of either points out of your DVC account or of points into your DVC account.”

However, I also read at *********** that “During a single Use Year an owner may transfer or receive DVC points, but not both. If an owner opts to transfer any number of points out of his contract during a single UY, he/she may not subsequently receive any amount of points from another owner during the same UY. Note that there is no stated limit on the number of transactions that an owner can complete in a given year (i.e., an owner could receive points from one other owner or a dozen owners in a single UY, he just cannot transfer points out in the same UY.)

Is the statement from *********** correct?

My sister has a DVC membership. Can she receive points into her membership from multiple DVC members during a single use year, but just not transfer any out during that time frame? The reason I ask is if you needed an additional 100 for a vacation this year, could you get 40 from one member and 60 from another?

It used to be correct, but DVC changed the rule. Now it's one per use year per membership, either in or out, but not both in the same use year. It's been this way for some time, now.

No, not anymore. She needs to get all 100 from a single source.

Actually the one in or out rule was in effect a long time ago, but MS began allowing multiple transfers in or out a while back. Then some members got creative with transfers, so DVC went back to the one in or out rule.
