DVC Tour Section in DL......?

Where is the DVC Tour section in DL? Are there showrooms? Wouldn't you actually want to buy on site in WDW rather than in DL since there are currently no DVC resorts in CA?

They have a sample of an SSR two-bedroom lockoff set up at DL. I visited it just the other week. We didn't have to do the complete tour since we're already DVC members, but I wanted to take a look at the sample.

It's slightly smaller than the actual rooms at SSR. Our tour guide, Heidi, told they they weren't able to get permission to build it full size. The sample rooms are kept locked, so you have to go into the DVC main building to get access. The building is just off from the Disneyland Hotel. If you stop at any of the DVC desks or kiosks at DL they can give you directions.

Everyone at DVC (in Disneyland) that I spoke with is hoping for a DVC to be built at Disneyland Resort. I believe the advantage of buying there is that they're offering annual passes (your choice, WDW or DLR) with your purchase.

We were staying at Paradise Pier during our trip, and afterward I discovered we could see the DVC buildings from our room.

We just got back from Paradise Pier. We were on the California Adventure side of the hotel so we didn't see the DVC building over near the DLH. We did talk to a DVC guide who said they expected to have an announcement on Oct 1.

We're going to DL in December. We aren't taking our 1st trip to SSR until next summer, so I am excited to see a sample studio!

We bought our DVC when we were in DL last May, having never even been to WDW, and that was BEFORE they had the sample rooms completely built. There were several other people who were there and we rode back to the DL entrance with another couple who bought that day also. I don't think they are having problems selling there. Our guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable. We felt comfortable buyng without seeing it in person because it was Disney. We felt the DVC resorts would reflect the Disney quality we already knew and trusted.

The actual offices and sample rooms are between PP and DLH, closer to DLH though.

Our first trip using points is actual to DL (I would love a DVC in CA ), we plan on going to check out the sample rooms while we are there and are going to WDW in Sept/Oct '07 for our first stay there. I can't wait!

We had a lovely view of the DCV building while staying at the DLH standard view... I forget what tower we were in... the far back one....

I bought at DLR in August. They are having NO problem selling at DLR. There are 600,000 DLR Annual passholders mostly in Southern California. (This is no lie). In fact there are many days where annual passholders make up 40 to 50 % of the guests in both parks. THe resort as a whole has over 20 million visitors a year. There is a DVC kiosk every where you look now. You have a large pool of Disney Die Hards at that resort. When we bought, there were 2 other couples signing papers at the same time.
