Can you get adjoining studios? Or a guaranteed booking of 2 studios at least next door to each other?

I want to rent DVC points and looking for 2 studios in Feb 07 but would like them to be adjoining, if possible.

Don't think you can get adjoining studios because a lot of the studios are actually the 2nd bedroom portion of a 2 bdrm lockoff. You can get studios across the hall from one another or with the 1 bdrm portion of a lockoff between two studios. If you do a search on the Boards you should be able to come up with the actual floorplans of the resorts. I know I've seen the floor plans before from a link someone had posted.

BWV and OKW have a few studios next to each other.

with BWV they are the dedicated ones and I think only on the 3rd floor????

with OKW they are only in 2 or 3 buildings - again very, very few...

it is just impossible to get 2 studios that are adjoining - now in the same building at OKW - very possible....

with BWV on the same floor - well you should - but I have heard of the room controller putting the other party on the floor under you or above you.... they call this close???? heck I would rather have them put my guests on the same floor - even if 10 rooms down...

I am not sure about VWL, BCV or SSR.

There are no connecting studios at DVC (connecting = door between two studios). They don't exist.

Disney will "try" to put your family close together, but close together can have some interesting meanings - it can mean "on the same end of the Boardwalk, but up three flights of stairs). And renting you will have no recourse.

I know VWL has some dedicated studios next to each other (although they are not connecting).

Rooms are not preassigned, so when you check in, if both parties are there and you can check in your two rooms at the same time, the CM will look at what is available and try to get you close together.

It makes no difference that you would be renting points. The key is that rooms are assigned on a first-come basis at check-in.

To the best of my knowledge, I do not believe there are such things as adjoing studios, meaning that there are not studios that are connected by a door.

As far as next door...DVC will try and put you near each other if you request it, but it is a request not a guarantee.

That is true that there are no connecting studios at OKW, but the ones that might be "next door" will most likely be up a different staircase or at the other end of the same building. They migth even be a floor above or below, since most OKW studios are on the outside ends of the building, and are lock offs from 2 bedrooms. The exception is the "U" shaped buildings like 14, 18, 35, and 38. I can't remember exactly, but I know there are studios "next door" to each other in some of those buildings.
