Our version of the land/sea cruise would not be through DCL but using our DVC points (land) and then paying cash for the cruise.

My question is regarding insurance. I've seen questions on cruise on points and the $5 per DVC point examples - would this be the same for a DVC stay? Would insurance cover DVC stay, airline tickets and then cruise? I would also not use the DCL travel insurance since I would not book tickets through them. I know airline and cruise are covered - wasn't sure on DVC stay. Typically we do not get insurance for DVC stay however if our cruise was canceled so would our stay and I can only imagine it would be due to a last minute situation.
Thank you

I believe you'll have to get a separate insurance for the DVC stay, one would not include the entire thing. You may want to talk to some of the cruise insurance companies to be sure. You should be certain of the limits of the insurance. Remember you have up until 30 days out to cancel your DVC trip without realy penalty other than as it applies to banked/borrowed points and the banking window.
