Hi,

I would like to know what do you think about the pools on DVC resorts.

What is the best?

the kid friendly?

what has the longest slide?

what is your favorite? vote for it!!!

Thanks

I very much like the deep water lazy river area of SAB at BCV. That's my favorite swimming area.

However, for atmosphere and gentle enjoyment the Springs pool at VWL is tops in my book. The little bubbles are so cute and fun to swim through.

For a more urban experience, the view of DTD from the pool at Congress Park is breathtaking at night.

I have found that although I do like swimming at SAB the best, I am so glad that when I'm at another resort, whichever it is, I find that I'm happy with the pool there too.:goodvibes

Bobbi:goodvibes

I am a "quiet" pool type of person. So I like to stay at resorts that have them.:)

I couldn't just pick a resort b/c there are specific pools at different resorts that I like.

My favorite is Dunes Cove pool at BCV. I really enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and the background music. This is followed by the quiet pool at BWV b/c I can relax and take a quick jump around the corner to Luna park for a ride on the Keister Coaster. I also enjoy the slide at High Rock Spring pool at SSR, but the pool there can be very crowded.

And as much as I love slides, I was not crazy about the one at Stormalong Bay - I think it was b/c it was partly enclosed and water squirts at you on the way down. I tried it once and then went back to Dunes Cove.

I can't name a favorite all-around pool. I like SAB the best because I like the benchy things built into the sides (I love to sit and read in the pool) but I don't like the slide (you have to lie down) and I don't like it for little kids.

I think Zero Entry is a big plus for little kids - as is a water play area. I'd vote SSR or AKV.

I voted for SAB at BCV, (it can and cannot be kid friendly-- it depends on your kids ages and how many you have:lmao: ) I love the beach theme and all the different areas to go in, lazy river, zero entry beach, whirlpool.
Also, I like the small pool across the walkway by the shipwreckpirate: with the little slide for kids that can't go down the big one. I also know that the lifeguards at SAB are the greatest--- you should never count on the lifeguards to watch you kids but I had a very scary experience there in Jan with my middle child--- once they get in the water they all look very much alike some even with matching disney swimsuits!!!

Choice for longest slide would be the clown pool at BWV!
Never swam at OKW-- but the pool and slide look great.

Can't wait to see how the new pools and slides at Kidani and Bay Lake compare!!:goodvibes

I don't think anything compares to SAB at BCV! I actually haven't stayed at BCV yet, but I'm so excited to eventually stay there just for the pool. It's one of the only pools that you can't pool hop to and that's because everyone would go there if they had the option to!

When it comes to slides, my kids vote for the scary clown slide at BWV. It is long and windy, and the clown spits them out at the bottom. Anything to make them happy...

Yeah I did too but now they call them leisure pools and they are not so quiet . Right now at SSR the main pool is closed and the "quiet" pool is crowded etc. no lounges

Thanks all for your answers, and yes ammo, the clown slide seems to be the longest.

I have seen it on pictures it lookes so good for kids.

Does anybody where could I found pictures of the rest of the pools or could anybody share pictures here.

Oh! and I forgot the rest of the hotels what about that pools? I have only been at GF and Poly so those are the only two pools I know, so I only can say Poly´s pool is better than GF.

I'm not a fan of the clown slide (and neither are my kids) because where each part of the tube connects, there's a bump/ridge that hurts our behinds when we slide! Anyone else have that problem? We're not pooh-size - in fact, DS is a string bean of a kid - but we all end up with sore tushes.

OKW has a great slide (IMHO). Just the right combo of fun and thrilling. The slide at AKV Jambo is lame - but probably a great first slide for preschoolers. SSR has a fun slide too - and it's the only pool I know of with an second actual baby slide.

The BCV are by far the nicest pools, you will not want to leave!

Port Orleans Riverside has good pools. It is a pretty interesting place overall. But the queen mother of all pools at resorts was River Country -- now, sadly, defunct.
