DVC Resales?? Help!

Looking to possibly buy a DVC resale. I've heard good things about the Timeshare Store, but other than that no idea. Does anyone have any advice on other resources? Not really sure where to start. Thank you in advance!

The best resource would be to read as many of the threads on here as you can. There is a ton of great information and any question you might have is probably answered within.

I'll start you off with one tip...the advertised price for a resale is the asking price and not necessarily the price you need to offer. Good luck and happy reading!

Definitely read the forum on passing ROFR (sorry dont know how to link) that will give you a good idea of the going prices and what passes through ROFR. Of course, there are many factors that go into these prices, like total number of points and whether a contract has alot of points immediately available or if the points have been used already (stripped.)
This website has been a great resource for me. We should close on our first contract this week!

One tip someone gave me - The Timeshare Store is a sellers market, Fidelity is a buyer's market - I don't know how true this is but I didn't have any luck on TSS, even though the broker's were fairly helpful.

We are using Sharon at Fidelity - they have alot more contracts that TSS typically going for less. I agree with others who said to read as many threads as you can, they were so helpful it making our decision!

Another tip is to contact the brokers directly. They will often keep lists of what their buyers are looking for and if a contract comes in that matches, a deal will be worked out before the contract ever sees the light of day on the broker's Web site.
