DVC Resale - What DO You Get?

You get the joy of owning DVC (minus any of the extra perks of purchasing direct). However, the perks of purchasing direct for most people do not out weigh the significant cost savings you obtain by purchasing resale.

Sorry if someone else already posted this and I missed it, but anybody currently buying resale cannot use their points to stay at Riviera or any other new resort that comes out. They can use them for any of the other 14 resorts at 7 months out, though.
