What stikes me when I see all your lovely pictures is that the pools never seem that crowded. Is that the case. We are going to SSR for the first time in July and wondered how crowded the pools would be and also are there plenty os seats available around the pools (my parents are elderly and son disabled) so that they can watch my other son whilst in the pool

It will be very crowded in July. That pool is to small IMO for the eventual size of the resort. Even what is open now will be a lot for that space. July will be scorching outside and many people will "need" to be in the pool. Quiet pools are much better if you need a seat. There is also a lack of seating around the SSR theme pool.
