DVC Points

I'm new to all of this- Will will be renting pts from a friend in Nov., however we are thinking about going in June. My question is this- Can points be used at AKL or any of the other deluxe resorts besides what I'm seeing on the DVC point chart?

Yes they can but they use many more points and if you rent from an owner they will have more restrictions - I assume - because of this.

For example during value season, AKL savannah view is 33 points a night Sun-Thurs and 59 for Fri and Sat.

Plus once these points are used for other non DVC resorts they can't be reverted back to be able to use again at DVC resorts, so this is much more restrictive for the member.

And the cost. Well 5 nights at AKL (Sun-Thurs) during value season would take 165 points @ 11 per point is 1815.

For your time in June 5 nights (Sun-Thurs) is 38/night or 190 points @11 per point is 2090.

For 175 points, you could stay 6 nights in a one bedroom at SSR.
