Dvc ownder meal plans

I just booked a trip in November using my DVC points. I keep hearing about free meal plans when booking a hotel. I was wondering. Are ther any free or discounted ways to get meal plans when you are a DVC owner? all help is appreciated Also if so How do I go about getting it? Thank you.

The only way you can get free dining is to pay cash for a room at rack rate. As a DVC member using your points you can get the meal plan but you have to pay for it, which is regular price. DVC members do not get discounts on meal plans. Hope that helps.

You can add the meal plan to your reservation without having to purchase tickets, but it is not free. Free dining does not apply to DVC rentals with points, only rack rate room packages including at least a one day ticket. We have rented points twice and added the meal plan about a week before our trip, paid at check-in.

You cannot get a discount on the meal plan. If you don't go for the meal plan, you can get discounts at a few restaurants with DVC, check the website for details.
