If I book a cruise (not the DVC member cruise) and let them know I am a DVC member do they provide any perks?

Perks for the cruise or perks because you are going to buy an add-on during the cruise?

No cash or points but you can attend the member gathering onboard and will have the chance to win some things--usually beach towels, bags, a ship replica, etc. We also received a "goodie bag" at the event with hats and lanyards. You should also get DVD magnets for your stateroom door.

I may be wrong but on a 3 day cruise I thought I saw a navigator that put the DVC member gathering on an afternoon of a port day (well ... short trip they are all port days lol).

We did a 3-day cruise in July. The member gathering was on embarkation day. It started around 3:00 and lasted for about 45 minutes. We had time to go to it and then to the lifeboat drill after that.
