We recently went to Doorway to Dreams... and the lady that helped us mentioned that there was a 10 per point rebate (that they use as part of a down payment for SSR)... but that "option" only lasted for the next 7 days.

Is this right?

I mean, we were just going in there for information, not necessarily to buy on the spot... but the 7 days are up now.. and we are out of luck for the 10 per point... according to this person.

Any help appreciated.

That's my understanding of it. When you hear the spiel the first time, you have a few days to make up your mind and either purchase or not. If you choose not to purchase at that time, you are not supposed to be offered the sales incentive again at a later date.

When you tour the models in Florida, they normally only give 3 days to make a decision.

Most other timeshares will tell you that the price goes up as soon as you leave the presentation without committing on the spot.

You could always try a little arm-twisting to see if they will reinstate the discount but DVC has been known to stand firm. Wish you would have asked the question 7 days ago...

Actually we bought in WDW & we had a week to make up our mind with the incentives. They are somewhat flexable.
