The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian won't have much of a view until Paradise Bay is ready in 2010!

Great pics, you've got me looking forward to my trip in August. Unfortunately we will only have two nights at CGH and one day in the parks (pre-cruise). The family and I loved DCA the one time we went to DLR in 2001.

You continue to amaze me with your pics and updates.:thumbsup2 Thanks and keep posting, can't get enough pics of DL and CA.

I really like trip reports chocked full of good photos, yours definitely doesn't disappoint. I've never been to DL, but feel like I've had the next best thing through your photos. Thanks again.

Thanks for the updated pictures! I can't believe how un-crowded it seemed this morning. What a lucky day for you! :thumbsup2

Thanks for taking the time to post all the great photos. Hope your wife's back is continuing to improve.

Weekdays during the school year before noon time are the greatest at the DLR. It gets much more local traffic than WDW, thus much more crowded on weekends then weekdays.

Wow, I was sitting in my room at the GCH when we had another aftershock. This happened at 3:49 PM ET.

Thank you for the wonderful pictures. Especially the view of the Rivers of America. My favorite spot to sit is right by the rafts to Pirates' Lair, eating my frozen banana and people watch. And when they use to have the pirate's skit on the island, it was the second best place to sit to watch it.

I thought of you as soon as I heard it on the news this afternoon. Let the good times roll!:rotfl: Several little ones are better than one BIG one. BTW love the TRpopcorn:: Can't wait for more.

The weather looks gorgeous..Sounds like you're having a great trip!

Thanks for all the details!

Can't wait for the GCH in August...Developer Points! Yipee!!!!!!!!!!!:banana::cool1::cool1:

I had dinner at Steakhouse 55 at the Disneyland Hotel. It is an upscale restaurant that serves certified Angus cuts. I had the 10 oz Filet Mignon. It was good.

The service was good and the food was flavorful. The ambiance is not as nice as Yachtsman Steakhouse at WDW, mostly because there is no view.

A GREAT report as always! I love GCH too. Unlike Wilderness Lodge, I can actually use my points to stay here :thumbsup2 (alas, I've only bagged WL once) We are returning to GCH right after Christmas for another visit.

Did you have a nice meal at Wine Country T?

Thanks for sharing!

You're really shaking it up down there DVC Mike! Two earthquakes in one trip!

I love your trip report. We just planned a trip there for July--very quick notice for me since I'm used to the 11 months out for my DVC. Anyway, how did you get from the airport to your hotel? That's the last thing I have left to book. It will be my brother, and my two children and me, and I was leaning towards a car service. I really don't want to rent a car since my brother and I don't know the area. I think it might be too stressful to try to drive. Anyway, please let me know what you did for transportation. Thanks!

When we used to live a couple of miles from DL, we used to use the Airport Bus from the DL Hotel all of the time! I always felt that the fares were pretty reasonable.

I forgot, is it okay to post a link???

Mike, thank you. You brought back some wonderful memories for me. We were there three nights in 05 after our West Coast DCL cruise.

There were plenty of pleasant surprises when compared to WDW. (Weather, proximity of both parks, etc.).

Thank you for taking us along and sharing. You take some wonderful pictures.

I must have missed the part or pre-planning part of your trip - I hope your wife is feeling/doing much better.

Enjoy!!!
