DVC members aren't the only ones who feel they deserve Disney perks

Not to offend any Celebration residents but thought this was a good thread to share. I guess everyone wants loyalty perks.

Safe to say everyone always wants a better deal. After all, they already are getting Florida resident discounts, right?

I guess the seaweed is always greener in somebody else's lake!

They already have most everything there that they ask for including Restaurant discouns (20% with DDE), Park passes (FL resident rates), DCL (FL resident rates part of the time). The only one that's not there is TDS, maybe they should join DVC. I find it amusing that they think they should get more than everyone else just because they live in a community spearheaded by Disney. If this were a group of stock holders, I would agree with them for many of the same reasons I feel DVC should offer more.

I also find it amazing that these people see their glass as half empty. They obviously must be well-off as they were able to pay the "premium" price to purchase a home in Celebration. As a resident of a midwest state, I am always jealous to read all the discounts/special deals for residents of Florida.

Really, I think these people need to get a life and maybe investigate the special deals that are already available to them. Just because they have the money to live in Celebration doesn't make them any more special than anyone else.

But, I guess it never hurts to ask - right?

You can always ask. However, from Disney's perspective, I would guess they see that aside from the occasional downturn, which is just part of doing business, they don't have a lot of trouble selling Celebration or DVC, or drawing locals to their restaurants and other venues, so where's their incentive?
